Wilson Street - 2 bed sleeps 6

Location good, not far in taxi from centre of Lincoln. Large spacious downstairs layout.

On street car parking was an issue. No car parking spaces available near house which was at the end of a dead end street with car parking on one side only due to it being a narrow street. Had to park at the other end of the street next to the Lucky Chinese take away and walk approx 100m+ to the house. There was no plug for the kitchen sink and no dish washer tablets provided so difficult to wash up which would explain why the cups and crockery were not very clean and needed to be rewashed before use. The extractor fan in the bathroom which was referenced in the welcome booklet and requested to be used had no control switch visible and did not automatically turn on when light was switched on, directions need to be given to help use the extractor fan which would have helped with humidity in the bathroom! Shower pressure was very poor which was frustrating. No bath mat provided for when climbing out of bath. Only 1 single plug socket in the main bedroom with 2 bedside table lamps! No bedside lamp could be plugged in due to necessary medical equipment needed to be plugged in, extension lead required to enable both bedside table lamps to be used, not supplied. 2nd bedroom only had a small double so was not very comfortable for 2 average sized people. Pillows supplied were uncomfortable. Most of these issues could easily be solved and make stays alot more comfortable for guests. Such a shame as the property has great potential. The big issue is the lack of available on street car parking spaces, its just pot luck if you can get parked anywhere near the property. Had to wait until the day after arrival for a parking space near the property and then move the car. If you need to use your car during your stay you may not be able to get parked near the property when you return!
