Ceylon Sky

We had a pleasant stay at Mist in Ella, a unique property with beautiful mountain views and a peaceful natural atmosphere. The villa design is impressive, especially the glass features that allow guests to enjoy the surrounding scenery. The property is also independent and private, which is a great advantage for those looking for a quiet getaway close to nature. The Wi-Fi was good, and the breakfast was satisfactory. However, considering the price we paid, we felt that the overall experience did not fully meet our expectations. The owners were not present during our stay, and the property was managed by two staff members. This may have affected the level of service and personal attention provided. The cleanliness was acceptable but could be improved, as some small details did not feel up to the standard expected for this price range. We also noticed some concerns regarding the cleanliness of items like the coffee cups. The breakfast options felt a little limited, especially considering the value we expected. Since the room has many glass panels, privacy may be a concern for some guests. However, for travellers who love nature, scenic views, and a peaceful environment, this place can still be a good choice. Overall, we would describe our experience as average — not disappointing, but also not exceptional compared to the price paid. With improvements in service, cleanliness, and attention to detail, this property has great potential.

Although the property has a beautiful location and amazing views, we felt that the overall experience did not fully match the price we paid. The service could be improved, especially with more attention to guest needs. The cleanliness was acceptable but could be better, as some small details like the cleanliness of cups and certain areas could be improved. The breakfast options also felt a bit limited. Additionally, because the room has many glass panels, privacy may be a concern for some guests.

Es una villa independiente apartada de todo el bullicio de Ella.

Al estar tan apartada necesitas si o si scooter o tuk tuk, en el mapa parece que esta cerca del centro pero las subidas y bajadas son muy empinadas.

Travelling through Sri Lanka, we stayed in many beautiful places, but The Mist Ella had a special charm. The morning mist drifting across the hills, the peaceful atmosphere, and the genuine hospitality created memories we will keep long after our journey ends. It felt less like a place to stay and more like a place to pause and appreciate life. — Anna & Lukas, Austria 🇦🇹

The Mist Ella was exactly what we hoped to find during our trip through Sri Lanka—quiet, authentic, and surrounded by stunning nature. We spent hours simply enjoying the view and the fresh mountain air. The team was welcoming and genuinely kind, making our stay feel effortless from start to finish. A wonderful place to slow down and experience the beauty of Ella.
