Birkbank Farm

We had a fantastic stay at Birkbank Farm. The property was very clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. We especially loved the peaceful and fully secluded location, which gave us complete privacy and made it a perfect place to relax and unwind. The property is also ideally located for exploring many of the beautiful and iconic places around Cockermouth and the surrounding area. Everything we needed was provided, including plenty of glasses and plates, a washing machine and dryer, washing-up liquid, hand wash, toilet rolls and other useful essentials. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making the stay comfortable and convenient. The owner and his daughter Kelly were absolutely lovely — very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We really appreciated their kindness and assistance.

Nothing really but The only thing worth mentioning is that the postcode provided can take you to a nearby location rather than directly to the farm, and there is very limited/no mobile network coverage in the area. We recommend entering “BIRKBANK FARM, COCKERMOUTH” into your navigation about 15 minutes before arrival, rather than relying solely on the postcode, as this should guide you to the exact location. Also, if booking through Booking.com, don’t rely on the key-locker PIN sent through the Booking.com system. It’s best to check the emails sent directly by the property/provider for the correct PIN, or contact the owner during working hours. The owner and Kelly are very helpful and easy to contact.
