Swedish Rustic Cabin perfect for bird watching

Really peaceful, really comfortable and convenient for Portsmouth, Southampton, and Chichester.

Hot water stopped working during our stay (fixed within a few hours) and the floor is very creaky

Fantastic to be able to spend the night actually on Thorney Island, and watch Cattle Egrets in a field of cattle from my accommodation. Also great to be able to have a fire and sit out and watch the sunset. Then I was well-placed for a days walk around the island the next day.

a few improvements needed to the accommodation, but the hosts were very receptive and easy to communicate with. They fixed a problem with the shower extremely quickly. The property is close to the only road onto the MoD part of the island, so a bit of disturbance from that, but not too bad. The kitchen facilities are quite basic.

An absolutely lovely little bolthole for the weekend. Very comfy and cosy, felt like a den! A little sink in the tiny kitchenette area would be the only thing we'd have liked. But if you think of it as a very luxurious glamping experience, you will know what you've got! Would be very happy to stay again 🤗

Not great if you're not too steady on your feet. A couple of home made steps up to the hut. Was fine...but not for everyone

The property is in a great location, close enough to Emsworth to walk into town (along part of the King Charles III Coastal Path, at low tide) but also sufficiently away from built up areas to be able to enjoy wildlife, lovely scenery, and ‘being away from it all’. The cabin is quite basic - bed, shower room, and tiny kitchen area - with outside seating and parking. The bed was very comfortable and the shower room functioned as it should. The cabin would not be suitable for families or anyone with mobility issues. There are no cooking facilities, but Emsworth has plenty of pubs and restaurants for eating out. There is no WiFi or TV, which we loved about the place! We had a completely relaxing and stress free couple of days. Loved it and would go again.

These are things over which the hosts have no control but which might affect guests: the army/RAF run helicopter training sessions in the area and the helicopters were noisy one evening for an hour or so. The road running alongside the property was busier/noisier than we expected although the noise didn’t go on very late.
