It was a nice clean house, well stocked with everything we needed.

We booked from Thursday to Monday, around 1 yr ago for our son's wedding. It was also paid for. I received a message 3 days before the book in date to welcome us between Friday and Monday. I communicated with the owner and was that she couldn't accommodate us on Thursday as she has contractors in through the week. I explained our situation and she wanted 24hrs to 'sort something out' I couldn't take that chance so ended up booking 2 hotel rooms for the Thursday night. I have been told I will receive a refund for that night, in my opinion it is not enough given the stress and the meal out we had to pay for as I couldn't take the food I bought as I had nowhere to store it. I don't think she really cared. The house itself isn't particularly cared for, yes clean and reasonably comfy, but silly little things like bedside lights, the electrics were a bit dodgy, and the beds weren't particularly comfy, mattresses that dipped in the middle (old), blinds that wouldn't stay open. It's taking care over things like this that make you feel like they want you there. Also, I stripped the beds before we left, no mattress covers or pillow covers and stains on both mattresses and pillows. Again, it appears that the owner doesn't particularly care.
