The apartment was quite large (sep. bedroom) and very well equipped. No toiletries. The location was phantastic in a side street from the Grand Place - centre - and close to all points for visiting.
The apartment was managed by a local agency - which seemed a bit inflexible. The security deposit was actually a steep and mandatory Euro 500 - not Euro 250 as advertised - and handled by a complicated Third Party (Bonding) agency. The hosts also presented an elaborate schedule of fines and penalties if one did not follow the elaborate hose rules incl. some ridiculous garbage directions ... all a bit over the top.

An excellent location for exploring. Close to a train station, supermarket and cafes.
The long narrow flight of 24 stairs to access the apartment was a challenge, especially with luggage.

Perfect location, nice enough apartment
Horrible procedure to check-in. They threaten to charge you for any damage during your stay. And you have to provide proof it was not your fault. So, as with rental cars, you have to photograph all flaws. And there were many! Halfway the key code was changed without notice. Could not get in for 30 minutes before I could reach the company. I think this place is only for long term rentals. Would not want to go through this hassle for just a few nights.
