Hidden Penestanan Villa Ubud

The villa is amazing with great views. It is set along a rice field path and completely immersed in the jungle, offering total privacy and peace. Despite being right in nature, the property is extremely comfortable with AC throughout all the rooms and the living room. The huge infinity pool is a massive highlight and a great place to relax. We also loved the Penestanan area—it has some of the best restaurants around! The villa doesn’t serve breakfast, but that worked out perfectly. We ordered food via Gojek from different local spots, which was incredibly easy and delicious. The service is also unmatched. Ketut is phenomenal—he met us at the main road, took care of all our heavy luggage, and drove us directly to the villa on his scooter so check-in was effortless. He also bought us groceries when we asked and was always available whenever we needed him.

You cannot drive a car directly to the property; it is exactly a 1 km walk or scooter ride from the main road. However, Ketut and the other staff also drove us a few times on the scooter to the main road and back, so the distance wasn't a hassle for us at all. It is just something to keep in mind if you plan on walking back and forth a lot on your own. The upside to that 1 km buffer is absolute silence and a true, undisturbed jungle experience away from the traffic.
