Abbotsford House sleeps 8

House was decorated to a very high standard. Every room very fresh. Good amenities. Kitchen was good with double fridges and freezers to cater for 8 adult guests. Showers were great too.

Some doors and bathroom locks were sticky and difficult to operate.

It was a lovely house in a nice quiet street close to the centre

The location was great, around a 20minute flat walk into the centre. We had a very handy Guest Book which was left for us, giving us all information we needed! The free parking was great, a double driveway with plenty of space for 2/3 cars. The bedrooms were all a great size with wardrobes (with hangers), dressing tables and plenty of mirrors. All three bathrooms and the downstairs toilet were brand new and really nicely decorated. The wow room was the open plan kitchen/lounge area, plenty of space with a big TV and a huge table for everyone to sit round! The bi-fold doors were perfect for the heatwave, with another huge table outside too. Another perk was the double fridge and freezer! Would definitely recommend this property, the owners were fab at communicating the check in/check out process too!

If I was to be very picky maybe a door/gate on the back yard could be a good addition but overall there is nothing we didn't like!

Nicely decorated, good quality appliances and comfortable beds and linen.. The off road parking. 20 min walk to centre, reasonable price.

No fans supplied despite the heatwave and the house was like a sauna! The kitchen and downstairs toilet weren’t cleaned to a high standard. The surfaces had some red wine stains in the kitchen and the backsplash was dusty and the cutlery drawers had crumbs in it., leaving the impression that a quick clean had been done in between guests. There wasn’t a microwave and the cutlery basket for the dishwasher was missing. The toilet downstairs had poo stains on the rim which I had to clean and the skirting boards were dirty and dusty and the walls were marked and the blinds in the bedroom were really dusty. The sofa had lots of crumbs on it and fluff and the TV wasn’t watchable when sunny due to the skylight. There is no back gate which lacks privacy as student house next door use the side to door which looks directly into the garden and just didn’t feel secure. The street is apparently a predominately student area according to one of the students living next door and Sunday night was pretty rowdy unfortunately.
