About this house rental

Summary:

Marebello

The Space:

This Fort Bragg vacation rental is so close to the surf, you may just be able to feel the ocean spray from the back deck! Add to that a private hot tub, a deck overlooking the ocean, a cozy interior, and a great location just south of downtown Fort Bragg and you'll see why this Northern California Coast getaway is a hidden gem along the rocky shore.

This well-designed, 300-square-foot studio is attached to a larger home and offers plenty of amenities, even though its layout is compact. From practically every window you'll have a gorgeous view of the ocean. In the evenings, relax on the comfortable sofa, while you watch cable TV or a DVD, or you may just want to snuggle and enjoy the view.

Relax out on the deck, or if the weather is stormy, just stay inside and watch the dramatic show from the warmth of your Marebello retreat.

Hungry? Head to the full kitchen to whip up a meal - you'll have a refrigerator, stovetop/oven, microwave, and other gadgets for everything from heating up leftovers to making a vacation feast. There's even a two-seat bistro table for enjoying your creations.

This Fort Bragg vacation studio has a four-poster queen-sized bed and a full bathroom with a shower. You'll also have a stereo if you want to listen to music. Perfect for up to two guests, Marebello makes a wonderfully romantic retreat or an ideal and quiet Fort Bragg getaway for one.

From here, you are less than a block away from one of the nicest attractions on the Northern California Coast - the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. Hike along beautiful trails, bird watching, and learn about coastal ecosystems and their flora and fauna. Other nearby attractions include downtown Fort Bragg, only three miles to the north. Here you can wander shops and galleries, and when you work up an appetite stop in at North Coast Brewing for pints of Blue Star Wheat Beer and garlic fries.

This location is also very convenient for visiting the postcard-perfect community of Mendocino, just eight miles to the south. Hike along the bluff at the Mendocino Headlands State Park, browse for books at the Mendocino Book Company, or just sightsee around this quaint oceanside village.

Your stay at this Northern California vacation rental will be so pleasant and charming, that you may not want to leave! Spend lazy afternoons wandering through coastal gardens, and in the evenings, relax on the deck while you take in a spectacular sunset.

*Please note that the stairs off the deck are currently unusable. Access to the beach is within walking distance from the home, walk back down the driveway, onto Old Coast Highway behind the Ark, walk until you reach Cypress Road, turn left on Cypress and on your right you will see a fence, directly at the end of the fence is an access trail down to Hare Creek Beach.

This is a stunning oceanfront location. The simple, clean property had everything we needed for a restful getaway. We arrived at night and had some difficulty finding the unit without additional directions from the rental agency. Once found, it was a pure delight.

Loved this tiny house and its location. The view was priceless and made up for a few little shortcomings. Place was clean and comfortable but could really use some wall hooks and another suitcase stand or credenza to put suitcases on and hang things up in bathroom and main room other than kitchen closet. Bathroom shelves would be a great option for people to put their toiletries on. Kitchen plastic ware could really be updated and a couple lounge chairs and small coffee table on patio would had been useful and nice. . Thankfully, we did bring our own lounge chairs with us so that worked well. The tsunami warning was a little unnerving but we loved our time there and use of the hot tub. The bed and bedding was nice but mattress may need to be replaced for something firmer in the near future. Thank you Marabello for a lovely stay. Ps. The deer and bobcat were a win as well. Really cute place, hot tub and view were amazing, very private, visited by deer and jack rabbits. Would stay again!

My husband and I stayed at the property for an extended weekend over valentine's day. The location is remote and absolutely gorgeous! The hottub was perfect and it was nice to feel you had privacy in the remote area, yet be so so close to town. The location can't be beat! The kitchen is very small, but functional (to be expected). It could use a few more basics such as more than 2 towels when you have guests staying 4 nights and there is no washer and dryer. We bought groceries to cook in our last night only to discover the BBQ had no propane. We contacted the property manager after hours and they acknowledged it was an oversight on them and someone did not replace them during the last cleaning. They were very understand, apologetic, and easy to work with and even gave us a small refund for the inconvenience. Will absolutely be back!

When we got to the vrbo it had not been cleaned from the previous persons. I called Kat the property management manager and within minutes she had people cleaning the cottage. The space is basically 1 room and a small bathroom. But OMG that view. Nothing could beat the view. And the hottub is great.
