Beautifully appointed, Cozy & Inviting. Private & quiet. Watch the whales while sipping coffee from your perched widow, or down on the "Edge" where you can fully experience the crashing waves. Skylights allow stargazing from your cozy antique, hand-made bed. Situated 5 min. from Mendocino & Fort Bragg. Great hiking trails, fun on the beach. Then come home to enjoy the ocean from the large hot tub and star gazing right from bed!

This was a magnificent place to be! Quiet, remote, and what a view! The only thing I’d suggest to other renters is that it wasn’t quite as private as we were expecting. It is billed as a cottage, and apartment would have been more accurate, as it is a very small unit over the garage, and the cleaning person (who is delightful) lives just below. Just something to be aware of. It was a delightful stay nonetheless!

Disappointing Stay – Misleading Property DescriptionWe were very disappointed with our stay at this property due to several misleading aspects of the listing. Nowhere in the description did it mention the steep set of stairs required to access the unit, which would have been important to know in advance. Additionally, we were surprised to find that the caretaker lives directly below the rental unit, something that was not disclosed in the listing.One of the main reasons we chose this property was the advertised private hot tub, but in reality, it was far from private. The hot tub is positioned in a way that makes it visible from two sides of the house, which made us feel uncomfortable to use it so we didn’t. The steep stairway was also not disclosed as we struggled with going up and down those stairs which for us made it a struggle to carry up our luggage. Overall, this property did not meet our expectations due to these misleading details. If transparency and privacy are important to you, I would recommend looking elsewhere.I am not a fan of writing reviews as there is always 2 sides to a story. This is however is more about the listing and the accuracy of it.

My husband and I had an incredible stay at this beautiful property! The pictures on this site are accurate and thorough but do not do it justice. We can’t oversell the proximity to the ocean! We could watch and hear the waves from our room and from the cliffside chairs overlooking the ocean. And if you want to get even closer, it’s a short walk to be on the beach, which has limited access. We walked to the beach several times and we were the only ones there.The bed was so comfortable, and we loved the skylight above it; we could have reached out and touched the Big Dipper! The hot tub is kept at the perfect temperature (I would suggest packing your swimsuits). This is on me, but as the Vrbo site lists ‘Kitchen’ as an amenity, I was thinking we could cook there. While there is a microwave and toaster oven, it does not have an oven/range. However, I didn’t mind the excuse to visit more restaurants there! There is a mini fridge with a small freezer, which was perfect for our needs. You are on the host’s property, but we had plenty of privacy and we only saw our host by pre-arrangement. The host, Myra, was lovely and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Her attention to detail and hospitality truly made our stay memorable. We are very grateful that she chooses to share this gorgeous space with others. We can’t wait to return the next time we need an ocean fix!

When we checked in we noticed the bed was a queen instead of a king as promised by their listing. When mentioned, the host promised she’d update the listing. We were lucky to have found this property as we were staying there during the recent deluge of rain. The property has a generator that came on automatically 3 times due to community power outages. In fact, the host was able to extend our stay as we were unable to continue due to widespread road closures. The property was small and cozy, but the views were amazing!

This "Daydream" was real! The view from the large window was amazing. We could sit and watch the ocean waves coming onto the beach all day. Or we could take a short walk and be on the beach ourselves. The window over the bed allowed us to view the stars every night. And you couldn't ask for better hosts! Myra and Enrique went above and beyond what was expected. Very generous! I do regret that we never seemed to have the time to use the hot tub. Maybe next time. I'll be thinking of this trip all winter!

We absolutely loved staying in this cozy, comfortable loft. It was in a quiet location and had the most stunning ocean views. Our host Myra met us upon arrival in the rain as she held her umbrella. She welcomed us with a big smile and gave us a tour. I would highly recommend this peaceful retreat that sits on an ocean bluff with the most beautiful view of the beach and ocean. It was a comfortable, peaceful and a beautiful location. We will definitely be back.

We had an amazing trip away. It’s the perfect location for rest and relaxation, with the beach and sunset on the cliff just a few steps away. Restaurants and shops, and sightseeing excursions all just a few mins drive. Myra was the perfect host, setting us up in a beautiful cottage style flat. Highly recommend!

When we arrived, Myra came out and informed us the spa was not working. We had booked for three nights. On the first night, the aroma of marijuana was coming through the bathroom. The stairs had a pungent odor of wet dogs every time you entered the rental. A used sponge was left for use on the sink counter. The owner had their lawn mowed on the second day of our stay, and the cart holding the equipment blocked our exit, causing us to maneuver around it to get out. I emailed Mrya to request a partial refund, and her response was, “Rosie, I did respond directly to VRBO. I don't deal with scammers.” I called VRBO customer service four times over seven days to resolve these issues, and the VRBO representatives confirmed they had not received a response from Myra. The VRBO representatives were cordial and professional in all my dealings with them. Abdul, who assisted me the last time to try to resolve this issue (6/20/24), tried several times to call Myra and did not get a response. I attempted to resolve this quietly, but unfortunately, I was called a scammer.

The loft was so cute!!! Loved all the special touches. The views were amazing !! The owners do live on property as well as someone below the loft. This did not interfere with our privacy. Would highly recommend!!!

This cottage was the perfect place for a romantic getaway. The views were spectacular and it was a very peaceful setting-inside and out. We enjoyed waking up to the serene gardens in the front of the property surrounded by coastal trees. The property sat on a bluff overlooking the ocean-amazing sunsets, beautiful and private. There were many bird sightings (including a grey heron who visited us) and we enjoyed the nature within the area-Noyo Headlands Park, Glass Beach, and the Mendocino Botanical Gardens. Myra communicated with us throughout our stay and was a very gracious hostess. The room was decorated beautifully. Myra thought of every little detail to make our stay special.

The property was beautiful and the house was just enough for my wife and I. Myra met us when we arrived and showed us around the property and then give us our space to celebrate our anniversary. We loved the views from the Adirondack Chairs and spent a lot of our time enjoying the ocean together. We enjoyed the beaches and some hikes; the local lighthouse was a fun trip. The breakfast places were good and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the spa wasn’t working at the property, but Myra went above and beyond and gave us a gift card for a spa day in Mendocino, which was awesome. The house itself was small and cozy and had a bedroom with a beautiful skylight that you could open at night and see the stars. It had a living room with the kitchenette and was decorated nicely. All in all, we had a wonderful time and would love to come back sometime in the future. Thank you Myra!

The location is superb, quintessential Mendocino coast…..the grounds are beautifully manicured, a private botanical garden…. the living area is artistically created with elegance and comfort in mind… The hosts, Myra and Enrique, are warm and welcoming, going beyond expectations with fresh flowers and homemade treats. They were easy to communicate with before and during our stay. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises and highly recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a quiet getaway on the Mendocino coast.

We were welcomed by Myra and shown around. Wonderful setup to relax and watch the waves with a cup of coffee in the morning or watch the sky darken in the evening. The room was cozy, yet had everything we needed. Myro left us a few treats for us to enjoy, and we did. A notebook with suggestions for good food was handy. The location was wonderful. Great location and view. Easy to get to both Fort Bragg and Mendocino. Best hot tub ever. Inside room is not extensive, more cozy. Clean and comfortable. 2 small negs: listing indicated a kettle to heat water...wasn't one (we would have brought our own if we'd known); one of the hanging lights by cupboard was constantly going out because it hangs too low and gets hit by the door - should be raised. Big pos: Myra left a BD card for my wife and also baked a super-delicious tart. Wow!!

Daydreams is exactly as advertised and more. All the extras like fresh flowers, lemon water by the bed, treats in the fridge, chocolates, and plenty of extra towels do not go unnoticed. Daydreams is also spotless, and so is the hot tub, (which cannot be beat!). Myra is a lovely hostess with great suggestions. The location of this property is perfectly located right between Mendocino and Fort Bragg. You should book this place if it’s available. It was wonderful!

Cozy loft with amazing view of the beach and ocean. We were there during an extended period of rain, so didn't get to take advantage of the fire pit. But we were able to sneak in a nice soak in the hot tub (with the amazing view). 300 yards away, you have access to Jughandle State Reserve, as well as access to the beach. Quiet area, just the beautiful sound of the surf. Myra, the host, was great. She gave us a nice tour on arrival, and kept in contact to make sure we weren't lacking anything.

The interior is well put together and very cozy. Everything you need is there. Close to Mendocino, Noyo Harbour and Glass Beach. The view from the kitchen is amazing to wake up to. A short walk to the beach or to a beautiful cliff view. Myra (owner) was helpful in showing us around the property. She also gave a great dining recommendation. Lots of super nice touches in the home. If we are ever back in the area, we would stay there again without hesitation. I recommend you arrive before dark on the first night. It was tricky to find in the dark the first night. Once we found it, getting back after dark wasnt an issue, just before we had our bearings. Stay at this place. It is great.

My wife and I booked this adorable loft to celebrate a quiet thanksgiving weekend and my wife's birthday away from our home in the bay area. Everything about this stay was exceptional—from the location, to the views, to the comfort and amenities—but I want to start by mentioning the host first. Myra is the kindest, most gracious host I have ever had on VRBO (or "similar sites"). Even though we arrived on Thanksgiving day, Myra took time away from hosting her family and friends to give us a tour of the property, showing us the ins and outs of the loft and its surroundings as well as how to access the nearby beach and headlands. Knowing it was my wife's birthday, she'd even left a birthday card inside with a home-baked berry tart in the fridge (absolutely delicious by the way). Finally, she checked in with us on departure day to make sure we had a great stay. Her personal touch is what takes this stay from great to truly exceptional. Now on to the location itself. The loft is perfectly nestled just off PCH in Fort Bragg. Though it manages to feel almost completely isolated when you're there, it takes less than 10 minutes to get into either Fort Bragg or Mendocino meaning it is a great base for exploring the Mendo Coast area. Myra left several recommendations for restaurants and activities, which served as a great guide for our weekend, but the true highlight was waking up to that stunning view every morning. We cannot recommend this stay enough for an oceanside escape!
