Through the many large picture windows you will enjoy unparalleled views of the blue Pacific Ocean while your privacy is ensured by the surrounding grove of mature cypress trees. This is a beautiful home with a spectacular view! The home is well appointed, very clean, well kept, the kitchen has plenty of gadgets and appliances, and the furniture perfectly situated for maximum ocean viewing. The owners were easy to work with, they responded promptly, and the home directions were clear. We also liked the separate tv / family room. Our granddaughter (5) could play with her new friend there while we chatted with her mother. Fabulous home overall!

We stayed at Whale Watch for 5 days and wow! Great location between Mendocino and Fort Bragg with amazing views overlooking the ocean. Spacious rooms and a stocked kitchen. Comfortably fit our group of 6. Would definitely recommend this stay for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway to the coast.

The views at Whale Watch are absolutely amazing. And it lives up to its name, we were able to see whales and sea lions. It was perfect for our family of 5 as a home base while we explored the area.

Such a wonderful property, close to town with an amazing ocean view. We saw seals and whales, and enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the waves. Hosts were very easy to communicate with. It was the perfect place for our girlfriends getaway!

This property was perfect for our low key bachelorette weekend. We all fit comfortably. The ocean views are amazing! The deck was perfect to sit and relax and watch the waves come in. The heater worked great and we loved the additional heaters in the bathrooms. The community is also beautiful. We saw deer on the property and in the neighborhood every day. The property could use some updates (bed sets and bathrooms), but the furniture was nice and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this property and I hope to come back in the future!

We are a group of 3 couples who don't get to see each other much or enough. We spent 3 glorious days at Whale-Watch connecting each other and nature. The space is big enough , each couple With a comfy bed and bathroom, and a living , dining kitchen area that overlooks the sea. Gorgeous views, and intimate enough space to spawn great conversations as we cooked, hung out, watched the waves and ate our meals. The kitchen had everything a good cook wants and needs! We saw deer, otters, seals, and bioluminescent waves. We were close to areas for foraging and waking in the woods . It was perfect. We will be back!

We stayed for seven days at the whale watch house to celebrate birthdays and And had the most amazing time. The house sits right on the ocean and we could hear the waves as we slept at night. We had fires in the fireplace in the evening. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you could possibly think of that you might need. The town of Mendocino in Fort Bragg has the best little shops and restaurants. Can’t wait for our next visit

The views on this property lived up to the pictures. It was a wonderful weekend and the house worked out well for three generations; my wife and I, my son and his wife, and their daughter. The kitchen well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The hot tub was also an added bonus.

Whale Watch is everything a beach home should be. The layout is perfect and the home and kitchen has everything needed. There were deer roaming the grounds and beautiful teal waves breaking on the rocks just steps away… absolutely zen! We used the binoculars to whale watch and spy on ships as they trolled past. In the 90’s my Parents rented Whale Watch and we have wonderful family memories there. To return to the jewel was incredible! We will absolutely be staying there again. It feels so much like home. Also the hosts are VERY quick to respond to questions and were very gracious!

Great property in a great location. The ocean view cannot be beat. This is a very comfortable and accommodating home. Unfortunately, the cool and windy conditions this year kept us inside most of the time. However, the view is nearly as good as being outside on the deck.

Our family was looking for a house not to far from home to whale watch and visit our favorite spots in both Mendocino and Ft. Bragg. The house was perfect for all of these things. It was comfortable durung a really windy storm. We got to see whales while drinking our morning coffee. Kitchen had everything. Great array of puzzles. It was a beautiful house and time away for all of us.

We love this house and always have a relaxing weekend. This is our third stay and plan to come back every other year. Only thing we did notice was the front bathroom tub had a lot of hair on the walls so maybe just mention to the cleaners. We also had a small mice that we caught in the downstairs bedroom. Didn’t see any droppings anywhere so maybe it came in with the door open. Overall great host and great experience

This was the absolute perfect house for our Family Christmas Celebration 2023. The home is in wonderful condition and the rooms are beautiful. The kitchen and window room accommodated cooking time with family time. The view is 5 star and the hot tub was a special treat. This was a Christmas for the books! You cannot get any closer to the Pacific Ocean without getting wet than the Whale Watch house. It sits on a bluff over the Pacific. There is a panoramic picture window where the waves are the feature presentation running and re-running 24/7. If being indoors gets to you, you can just step outside onto the deck and take a hot tub. We had horrible, rainy and stormy weather, but didn't mind it at all. This place is a gem. It is well maintained and fully equipped. The owners have the drill down and the entrance/exit is easy. Located just a a couple of minutes from the entrance to Russian Gulch State Park.

Could not have asked for a better view on the north coast! Loved the view from the deck and living room. The proximity to both Mendocino village and Fort Bragg, as well as beaches and hiking trails was wonderful. Our only complaint was the living room furniture wasn't as shown on the website. My husband and i are tall, so the depicted larged curved sofa looked perfect. When we arrived, we discovered that sofa was gone replaced by two love seats - not comfortable to stretch out on. I suggest updating the online photos to show what's there now.

I don’t think that we have ever spent more time simply staring at the ocean waves and enjoying the perfect weather and extraordinary views. We saw whales and seals nearly every day. The home was perfect for our family of four adults and two children. It was super easy to communicate with the owners; and they are great hosts!

This is a beautiful home on the ocean. Photos do not do it justice. We enjoyed watching the sea lions in their habitat not to mention telescopes and binoculars provided. The home is fully equipped…extra blankets, pillows and the kitchen has everything to cook a meal at home. Our daughter received a surprise proposal so this home is now a very special place for our family to return to for years to come. Thank you!
