Lots of franchise food stores here and 24 hour convenience stores like 7 Eleven and Family Mart within walking distance. Room was simple but adequate

Overall, the stay was average.
In terms of facilities, Penang has many heritage-conversion hotels with limited public spaces, and Qing Suite is no exception. There is no gym or swimming pool, which makes the experience somewhat lacking. The property is recently renovated, so the room appears new; however, the bed linen had a noticeable damp, sour odor—not from in-room fragrance, but clearly from insufficient drying. This should be addressed by management. Additionally, while scent design is subjective, hotel fragrances should still consider broader guest comfort.
Room cleanliness requires improvement. There were small items left behind by previous guests, and visible fingerprints on bathroom fixtures. The bath amenities’ scent was also not particularly appealing.
Breakfast was average (fruit selection was acceptable). Complimentary minibar water and coffee were a nice touch. Staff were polite and helpful. The installation of a simple lift in a heritage property is also a positive.
At a rate of over *** per night in Penang, the overall value for money is not compelling.

Facilities wise not great but definitely recommended if you want a heritage experience. Location is great as it is within walking distance to the Armenia street and lover's lane where there are many eateries and shops. Plenty of eateries around but this hotel offers one of the best breakfast (TCM themed, so you get a healthy ginseng porridge and herbal duck noodle soup) + a brekkie box of warm bread and fruits. Very restful stay. You get a complimentary private tour of the Blue Mansion and we were lucky to attend the 11 am Friday slot that was hosted by the owner of the Mansion. Very interesting and insightful tour as she shares her personal experience of how The Blue Mansion and The Qing Suites came about. Will definitely return for the hospitality of the staff and of course the comfortable rooms.
