Had everything needed for a wonderful stay. The building is around 150 years old so don't expect modern amenities, but it has very good facilities nonetheless.
Staff were friendly and very helpful, room extremely comfortable, good A/C, good pool and excellent breakfast range. The free tour was a great bonus.
It's in easy walking distance of all the main sights in George Town and the area felt very safe.
Worth staying at the Blue Mansion just to say that you have stayed there. The fact it is also a very decent hotel in addition to being a top tourist attraction is the icing on the cake

Great stay in this unique hotel. The property has been carefully renovated to an exceptionally high standard. Our room was extremely spacious and very well equipped, with efficient air conditioning. Breakfast is served in the beautiful courtyard and provides an extensive choice of options. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Our stay at Cheong Fatt Tze - The Blue Mansion was one of the highlights of our time in George Town. This extraordinary heritage property is far more than a hotel; it is a living piece of history. The beautifully restored mansion, with its iconic indigo-blue façade, offers a unique glimpse into Penang’s rich multicultural past and the remarkable legacy of Cheong Fatt Tze, often referred to as the “Rockefeller of the East.”
