Beautiful historical building, spacious stunning rooms, lovely pool and garden, outstanding friendly service from every single member of staff. So patient, helpful, kind and considerate. Couldn’t help enough! Very good value. Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea and cocktails in the bar. The tour of the Mansion was brilliant. A very special stay. Thank you!

it is a tad bit pricey, but given the historic significance i guess its alright.

The pool and the staff were it’s saving grace

Day visitors to the property ignored barriers meant to prevent them from accessing guest rooms and this happened multiple times each day. Cafe was booked out mainly by non residents for every night of our stay. Menu was reduced by two thirds anyway as chef was away. Only alternative was a set meal costing £100 approx per person in fine dining restaurant which wasn’t to our taste. Eating facilities for residents should be prioritised as three mails were sent to us before check in advertising these facilities which we could not access. When we complained we were met with an ignorant and rude response from staff member we complained to. Coffee machine in room but no pods and no instant coffee for kettle which you had to put on floor to reach plug. Water was scalding hot and I do mean scalding.
