Key was easy to find and access was to the property was straightforward.

Contact with regards to downstairs apartment losing their key and us having to try and accommodate them with our key for their access which made us late for a table reservation which we lost, luckily for us we could book the following night. If we had wanted to eat in with a takeaway, the tables benches were broken, one of them was outside the front of the property and made it look like it was a dumping ground, not very inviting, and the second one was under the table but was clearly broken and couldn’t be sat on for fear of collapse.

It was spacious bright and had everything you needed

The apartment was fully equipped with all home comforts including the kitchen rare to find a dishwasher, small but enough. The clear instructions for the heating and cooling

Unfortunately we were really disappointed with our stay. The accommodation had clearly not been cleaned properly on arrival — we had to contact the host and have the cleaner come back to attend to the kitchen & bathroom, and even then the entire house was still not vacuumed. Some of the linen was stained, and nothing was provided to wash dishes or wipe benches. (The cleaner made excuses because it had been “cleaned” on a Bank holiday.) For somewhere with such good previous reviews and 5 star rating, this was frustrating and not the standard we expected. The property is also advertised as having soundproof walls, however we were all woken in the early hours by neighbouring guests arriving home and having a very loud domestic argument, so this was definitely not our experience. We accidentally broke a light shade during our stay, however the shade was not actually secured to the base and was simply sitting loosely on top, which was a hazard waiting to happen. Despite this, the hosts were quick to deduct £30 from our bond for the damage while offering no compensation or acknowledgement for the poor cleanliness and inconvenience we experienced. Overall, disappointing customer service and not the standard we expected.
