The linen was cold

The apartment is right on the beach with unobstructed views of the ocean. It was very spacious and also has a huge patio with a braai area. Free undercover parking is available. The hostess made us feel very welcome and gave us good recommendations for dinner as the restaurant on the premises is closed on Sunday evenings.

Bathroom was somewhat cramped but functional

The room was clean and neat with enough coffee. It had a working fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and hairdryer. The restaurant has a fabulous view and staff was very friendly. The food was exceptional!

There was an aircon, but no remote. There was no compatible plug for the hairdryer.

The sea view

The room we were given (villa 6) was not as per booking or expectation. It should have been an apartment with two double beds (we are two couples) but instead had a double bed and two bunk beds. When I asked a staff member for the managers number, as the number on booking.com did not work, the staff member was rude. This was witnessed by the other guests as well. The manager offered to swap out the bunk beds for a double bed but the room was small so we kept it as is. The pictures showed a long undercover area with a built in braai and extended balcony which we wanted due to the weather. Villa 6, however, is at the end of the building facing the north winds and rain with no wall to block out the bad weather. We barely slept with the noise from the weather. The apartment also overlooked another complex which wasn't great. The place is tiled and there were no curtains or blinds in the lounge so it was cold and had no privacy from the neighbouring complex. It also looked older than the other apartment we had seen. No shampoo or the likes in the showers. Only a soap bar at each sink. No milk for hot drinks.To sum it up, I think we've just experienced better for the same price or less. The right apartment, i am sure, would have made a better impression and the same price shouldn't be charged for apartments that aren't the same spec. This was a 60th birthday surprise getaway for our guests so it was disappointing for us. The manager apologized and advised that there was a problem with how the accommodation was presented on Booking.com and that it would be rectified but that was the only consolation.
