Over all for what we needed to get to & from stadium it was good situated but can be cleaner please

Breakfast place was a vibe Location was perfect for where we needed to be

Room wasnt clean, dust around the bed, pillows we stained and not washed in a while, walls not washed in a while. Shower and wash basin had used soap on from previous visitors. Kitchen wasnt clean,dirty pots & pans on stove, fridge messy, dirty dishes in kitchen. We weren’t told its a communal kitchen. Says room facilities fridge, hairdryer,microwave coffee machine etc. if place can be properly cleaned i will stay again because of its location for what we needed. I dont mind to pay a fair price but make it worth it.

Terrible

We stayed at the property for 5 nights and it was never cleaned…not even once! We used the same sheets and towels during our entire stay. Also, the owner turns off the electricity everyday at 11-12pm which affects the internet as well. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room because the only window in the room couldn’t close fully. It makes sleeping in the room very unbearable

Mislead backpackers, dirty, cluttered and poorly run.

There was nothing I liked.

There was no one to book me in to identify which room i was allocated to, and the host never responded to my calls to explain why I didn't stay. There were clothes and linen lying all around the house, and it was generally dirty. Someone had been sleeping on a couch in the living room where a makeshift bed was made. The booking was described as a guesthouse and not as a backpackers which is false advertising. This was the worst accommodation I have paid for and eventually stayed at.

1. Not what we booked, we were then asked for additional fees to upgrade to a suitable room. 2. We were monitored by the owner on entry and exit. 3. We could not exit on the last day as the owner put the power off so the security gate was not operational which posed a health and safety risk. 4. We had to shower with cold water on numerous occasions. 5. We were not allowed to use the air conditioner in the extreme heat and the remote was hidden under the microwave outside the room. 6. No cleaning staff was seen on site. 7. On our last day the owner stood in our room to see what we departed with. 8. A-dead rat was in the koi pond during our stay unhealthy conditions. 9. Carpets need to be cleaned in a filthy condition. 9. I will NEVER reference a stay at the above guest house.

Not too much . Booking was chaotic. First someone canceled It. Then we almost got double charged. Very stressful stay.

Very musty rooms inside owners home sharing facilities with owner and other guests. Even had to purchase inhaler for bad chests from musty closed up rooms. Lights shining into room all night. Ensuite room extremely small . No privacy from shower/toilet section. Also no shampoo,body wash etc. A bar of soap was available. Pics not same as online.

Very convenient location, for what we wanted. The parking was comfortable. Perfect for participants of the Cape Town Cycle Tour. Owner is friendly. Neighbourhood is interesting. Very close to interesting restaurants in Greenpoint.

The accommodation was not as expected from the photos. No area to sit unless you sit on your bed.

LANDLORD ACCUSED ME CAUSE IM MUSLIM.

He also let me wait outside when I wanted to leave cause he was ignoring his phone and email while booking.com was trying to contact him. Meanwhile I heard he was discussion the issue with another guy in his house next door.

!!DO NOT BOOK HERE!! NOT 786 FRIENDLY. I was rudely awakened before 8 am on a Sunday morning to be questioned by the landlord about my Muslim name and how he didnt believe that I was the one who made the payment. He also rudely grabbed my Credit card from my hand and proceeded to take mobile phone pictures even after i asked him not to as it is not secure and could lead to fraud. The listing and booking confirmation only says to show ur card and ID. This is all after I had already paid upfront before I even got there the day before and after he had already checked me in. I asked him if he needed anything else from me when I got there the day before and he said no after thoroughly reviewing my booking.com confirmation and also telling me that my confirmation does not say breakfast included (When actually it was). Then before 8am the next day I get continuous knocking on the room door to be accused of being a criminal... even though booking.com handles the payment and it was already cleared. The cupboards smelled, the hairdryer had sum sticky residue with hairs on... it literally all of over it. An before you even think to contest any of this Gordon I have videos, whatsapp screenshots, and booking confirmation screenshots. I took a look at another review on this reviews page and I see another arab muslim guy had issues with their stay there. If you dont like muslims then add it to your listing so we know not to support you. Thank you booking.com for finally resolving my end of the issue. I would not recommend this Guesthouse to any of my guests who visit this country.
