The location was fine for our weeks stay in Cape Town. The breakfast was the same menu every day but we at least could tweak it with a variety of eggs
Our room was very small. There was not enough room to gang all our clothes so we lived out of a suitcase.

I really enjoyed my stay at Sweet Orange Guesthouse. The vibe is so special and welcoming, and you can really see the attention to detail in the decor and overall atmosphere. Everything feels thoughtfully designed and well taken care of. The staff is super friendly and the location is very central, making it a great base to explore Cape Town!
The only downsides were that the plunge pool wasn’t very clean during my stay, and there was a nearby dog barking during the night. Otherwise, I truly loved the place and would definitely consider staying here again.

The guest house is in a great location. Close to restaurants and the boardwalk. The people were so friendly. We had an assembly morning tour and couldn't make breakfast so they gave us lunch. It was very clean. Breakfast was amazing
The only comment I can say is that there were several rats in the courtyard after dark. But I know that is hard to control

The best part of this establishment was the bed itself and the stunning service and care from Toni. She seems to be the heart and soul of this place. She is definitely the highlight of my stay. The linen was a beautiful quality and gently fragranced. The shower was lovely as well.
The pool was was not well maintained. The lining under the blue tiles around the pool is falling apart and looked terrible. It certainly did not look like it does in the pictures on the website. I didn't get into the pool because the water was slightly green and murky. Also, I would suggest that the guest house start using fragrance products in their toilets. Products like Duck gel stickers are inexpensive and hygienic. Although my toilet was cleaned, I could still smell urine which is not unusual given the amount of people who use that toilet. However, there are ways to sort that out as suggested above. The outdoor ashtrays were full and some of the tables under the trees were not clean.

Beautiful old house, with super comfy bed and very big bedroom. Staff is super nice and garden very cosy. Breakfast was good but not great.
No aircon whilst we have had some very warm nights. Cleaning when we picked up the room could have been a little more thorough (not a red flag though).

The Sweet Orange Guest House is a lovely, old-world guest house in the heart of the Sea Point neighbourhood of Cape Town. The hotel has a lovely feel, and the staff are very welcoming. I particularly appreciated Zack's recommendations for barbers in the area and the laundry service, which was timely and affordable.
It was comfortable, clean, and good value. I'd recommend for anyone wanting a more "homey" stay as compared to the larger hotel chains in the area.
There are no insect screens on the windows, and I was absolutely devoured by mosquitos. This could also have been my ignorance and insistence on leaving the windows open, so I've not taken off anything from the score.

The house has a lot of character, stylish and very comfortable. We stayed in a 2-bedroom separate house and were served breakfast there. Beautiful, delicious and cozy. Will definitely come back. Communication with hosts was very prompt and efficient.
Loved everything. Perhaps couch needs some update, but that’s minor.

Beautiful location with spacious, comfortable beds, a delicious breakfast and very friendly staff. The area felt very safe, and with an Uber you can reach the city center in just a few minutes. There’s also a lovely terrace where you can relax in the sun.
In the evening we had some issues with small cockroaches in the sink and kitchen, and the fridge was quite noisy with its alarm going off frequently.

The guest house was very cute and in a great location. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was great. Street parking was also easily available. Sea Point is a very nice and safe area.
The only issue was the room was very damp and there was no sound proofing from the next door room - we could unfortunately hear everything they were saying and their TV was very loud.

The breakfast was too nice and the rooms are comfortable.
The way the handled my cooking solution and rushed to get my money back to go and book somewhere else that is not professional they were suppose to give me other option to resolve the matter instead rushing to refund.

Comfy bed. Good location in safe neighbourhood. Very good breakfast. Free parking spots on the street (also safe). Very good price-quality if you don't expect a five star hotel...
Small bathroom.

From the moment we entered our host at the property was very welcoming, the room was cozy, the breakfast was perfect and filled me through the whole day, the views were perfection and there's so much to do. Definitely top 5 in my places to stay, if not the best. And the shower was so relaxing
There was nothing not to like.

Basically, I we loved everything. From the time we arrived until we left we were treated like family. The room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. They served cooked to order breakfast, which was beyond expectations.
There is a kitchen area with cookies and tea available at all times. They also have a small pool although it was way too cold outside for us to try it.
What really sets Sweet Orange Guesthouse apart is the staff. They could not do enough for us. They even took care of our laundry for R150.
This is a small place with six rooms so it is very intimate. Oh, and it is one block from the beach!
There was nothing not to like!

The Guest House is lovely, in a Victorian style. We parked our car outside, in the street, no problem.
Breakfasts are excellent, thanks to the staff.
Excellent quality/price ratio.
There are a lot of restaurants in the Main Street nearby (50 m from the guest house): we tested the Greek Tavern, the Italian, and the Asiatic restaurants. All very good

We really enjoyed our stay at Sweet Orange Guest House. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The guest house had a lovely, charming feel to it, and we appreciated the small touches like the sweets left in the room. The staff were warm and friendly, and the location in Sea Point was excellent – close to everything we needed. We felt safe during our stay, and the space was well-equipped. Breakfast was delicious, and overall it offered great value for the price we paid. It was the perfect base for a night or two and served its purpose well.
Our room was on the ground floor, right next to the kitchen, so we could hear other guests coming and going quite clearly as well as those cooking. The window looked out onto a communal area, which meant we had to keep the blinds closed for privacy. The shower was also a bit inconvenient, as it required adjusting both the hot and cold taps to get the temperature right. Despite these small issues, we still had a super pleasant stay and would recommend, but a higher tier room.

The staff was really friendly and let me drop off the luggage earlier than check in time and stored them properly.
The location is also pretty good as I felt safe most of the time and could walk around with no worries during daytime and early evening. There are a lot of options nearby regarding market, restaurants, business in general.
Nothing, just bear in mind the facilities are simple, because this is a Guesthouse.
The breakfast was good enough, however; that could be more varied than the 3 options as I stayed 6 nights.

All the little touches, a lot of thought has been put into the brand. The staff are all super friendly, very helpful and nice. The bed linen and towels are quality. Breakfast was top notch. I will direct everyone that asks to stay here. Very good value for money.

Everything was great, you should definitely hire a car while in Cape Town, very easy to get around everywhere.

Lots of little touches to make it feel like home (but also very useful) and really welcoming staff. Great location in sea point. Very comfortable bed. Yummy breakfast.
Can hear noisy guests quite easily.

Kitchen had supplies and available to use at any time. Breakfast was good too. Located near beaches and shops and restaurants.
I didn’t like the lack of space in the room. I kept hitting myself against the furniture around the room. The room was dusty and toilet didn’t smell good. There were signs of mould too. No air conditioning in the room, only fan that lifts the dust and blows hot air. We didn’t feel comfortable as the house echoes anything from all corners.

We had a wonderful welcome and all the staff were really lovely, friendly, efficient and kind.
The bed was very comfortable and we loved the old building. Breakfast was good too.
We had thought the guest house was nearer to the V and A waterfront….our problem for not exploring enough! The bathroom was a bit tired and dark although the shower was great!

We loved the property, beautiful interiors. The family house was large and felt like our own holiday house, super peaceful and the staff were amazing. There wasn’t anything they couldn’t do for us and felt like family.

It was ideally located so we could have a lovely walk by the sea. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and we were in our room well before official check in. The room was spacious with everything you could need and the bed very comfortable. We appreciated the complimentary Netflix. We enjoyed our breakfast and were sorry our stay was only the one night.
Nothing we can think of.
