Overall, great value for money with very friendly staff resulting in a comfortable stay

My wife and I stayed at One46 on M for a month and the experience was overall very good. The location was superb, right on the main road in Sea Point and with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, including Butter Cafe which was in the same building and served great breakfast/brunch. It was also a quick 5 minute walk to the Promenade and major supermarkets. The staff were really friendly and special mention to the manager Jarred who went above and beyond to ensure that any problems were quickly resolved and that we felt comfortable for the duration of our stay. The room itself was furnished well and included all major appliances including a TV, AC, fridge freezer, air fryer, microwave, Owen, coffee machine, hob, kettle, toaster, safe and washing machine. There was also a balcony with a small table and chairs which was a great space to have. There was also adequate cutlery and basic ingredients. The room was cleaned every two days which made the stay very comfortable. The bed was soft but not very large as it was a standard/small double bed. The bathroom was good with great water pressure and 24x7 hot water. Lots of storage/cupboard space as well.

The swimming pool was very small and more importantly it was not always clean and usable. The bed was very comfortable but was quite small and people above 6 foot might struggle especially if two tall/large people are sleeping on it.

The location is perfect, the staff were lovely, and it’s very nice to have a private pool in the middle of the city.

There seems to be a bad drainage smell in the bathroom, which I can assume due to it being a new building there is still some teething issues.

A perfect balance between the independence of an apartment and the comfort of a hotel, in a safe and convenient location

ONE46 is located in a beautiful, modern building on Main Road. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful — they assisted with everything and even took care of my luggage while I was waiting to check in. There’s a lovely café in the building serving breakfasts. The Compact Studio was extremely well designed and comfortable. The space is organized perfectly and has everything you might need: a washer-dryer, air fryer, welcome fruit, drinking water in the fridge, a safe, a balcony, and a very comfortable bed. Even though my apartment was on the first floor, the windows faced a quiet inner courtyard, so it was peaceful and cozy. The rooftop area on the 5th floor is a great bonus — a small pool, sunbeds, and a stunning view. The location is excellent: easy to walk around, close to grocery stores, just a few minutes from the beach, and overall very safe.

The apartment was nice and modern as it was a new building

- There was no airconditioning as I was told this still needed to be installed, we weren’t provided a fan either until the second night. This is the middling summer in SA - Someone accidentally activated the fire alarm on night one and the staff didn’t know how to switch it off until 2am
