I love the interior and the thought into all the little details. It’s beautiful and full of history. The room is very cozy, it gives you a nice authentic Portugese nostalgia experience. They play nice a relaxing background music at breakfast room.

The water from the shower was quite weak, and it took a very long time to fill up the bath — around 20–30 minutes. The hot water also took a long time to come through, and when it finally did, it did not last long enough for even a 10-minute shower. I ended up having to finish my shower with cold water. I reported the issue to the manager immediately. They said they would have someone check it the following day, but by that time I would already have checked out. As the issue was reported during my stay, I was disappointed that no alternative solution or immediate assistance was offered, particularly as it affected a basic amenity of the room. When I checked out the following morning, I was not asked about my experience or whether the issue had impacted my stay. Instead, I was repeatedly told that someone had been called to fix the problem. While I appreciate that action may have been taken afterwards, this did not address the inconvenience I experienced during my stay. I was also not offered any form of compensation or goodwill gesture. AThe overall interaction left me with the impression that my concerns were being dismissed and that I was being rushed through the check-out process rather than listened to as a guest. What makes this particularly disappointing is that I genuinely loved the hotel, the space, and the rest of my experience during my stay. It is therefore a real shame that an issue I raised promptly, and the way it was subsequently handled, left me with a less positive final impression than it otherwise would have.
