We stayed here for two nights before flying home, coming to Porto by bus after finishing the Camino de Santiago - so a big contrast in luxury from Camino hostels! Our first visit to Portugal, and quite blown away by the beauty of Porto. This accommodation is perfectly situated for the riverside and the Port Houses, a big climb up to the old city, or use the wonderful cable-car. The people who run Charm were extremely helpful and welcoming, and took care of the check-in and check-out details for us - so I didn't need to be too techie and do it all online - though that is easy for those who like such things! Also very helpful in recommending restaurants, a Port House visit, advice on Metro etc. (plus the hidden elevator in the carpark!). We didn't have breakfast, so can't comment, but it looked good. The room was delightful, very modern and slightly quirky, and very clean, and there was even a small decanter of port to welcome us. Also, after checkout, we could leave our packs there until time to go to the airport. Well deserving of five stars.

Andrè who checked us in gave us lots of information about the area, which were good restaurants and places to visit the hotel was in a great location on a side road so very quiet at night but literally a minutes walk to the river and plenty of restaurants a great location and a great host.

Andre was the kindest and most helpful person I have met in my all my travels. The rooms are beautiful and the hotel itself is quiet and quaint.

We loved this hotel. We had the room at the top and managed the four flights with ease. Loved the balcony, although tiny, as the view across the roofs, the city and the Douro were wonderful. Above all, Mari and Carla were extremely helpful, answering our questions before the stay and giving us lots of info about places to visit while we were there. The room and bathroom were kept very clean by the lovely chambermaid. Gaia is a great area to stay in. Much less crowded than Porto opposite and only a few minutes walk over the beautiful and spectacular Dom Luiz I bridge. All in all, we were delighted. Thank you!
