Clean and quick replies

The house is very clean, with lots of space and comfortably slept my family of 5 (two teens and a small child!). It’s situated in a great location, opposite a very handy Asda. However the main road is very busy during most hours (this did not affect our family as the children were sleeping in the front of the house and didn’t notice any noise). We also visited The Wave which was a very close 7 minute drive away and was a huge hit for my family. We stayed for Crufts and it’s a great little 20 minute drive to the NEC centre in Birmingham too. The kitchen had both a fridge and a freezer and was fully stocked with cups, plates and bowls for all of us. The 4 slice toaster was a huge win! The beds are very comfortable and we all slept very well after our busy days. The sofas are equally comfortable and we were very pleased. The hosts were fantastic. They always provided excellent communication and checked in with us regularly via messaging to make sure we were ok. We had a very small issue with the boiler not warming the radiators up, I sent a message to the host and within the next hour someone was round and fixed the issue and the house instantly warmed up.

There was a lot of rubbish at the back of the garden however the garden is very long and unless you walked down there you wouldn’t have noticed. The parking was difficult, I assumed that private parking would be a drive way but the parking available was a lay-by next to the main road or a small road which was often full and further away from the house. We were luckily always able to park in the lay-by and the children climbed across so they were not next to the busy road and were able to climb out onto the kerb safely.

The pictures give back what you will get mostly. The house itself is a standard british house that you can see everywhere else. The kitchen was adequietly equipped and the owners were quite responsive to comments and requests, so when we encountered a problem they responded well as quick as they can. Parking was not an issue there was enough space for everyone in the neighbourhood. Instructions for entry and operating the equipment was well done.

Upon arrival the grass was freshly cut, so hastily in fact, that the cut grass was just left there to dry out on its own. The house is on the busiest road of Coventry so 2 bedrooms are quite noisy all day and night. The hinges on all the bedroom doors were loose, we couldn't close any of them, nor could we use the toilet as the seat was broken. The plumbing was clogged for 4 days, however the repairman did a quick fix on these so that was not an issue afterwards, but the whole thing was felt, that it was just hastily cleaned up for the next arrival. We booked for almost 2 weeks and they left us with a note that said "this is all the supplies that you are gonna get", so you need to buy extra toilet paper for example if it is all out, which I understand to an extent, but then we were left with 1 sponge to clean the dishes with, there was like 0.5 meters of aluminum foil in the kitchen, There was no salt of pepper for the kitchen. (There was coffee and sugar and tea plenty though). I understand, that you cannot prepare everything for everyone but leaving 4 visitors with 5 rolls of toilet paper for 2 weeks is just lazy. I think if the organisers would be a little more proactive in preparations rather than fixing it all when we tell them and encounter them 1 by 1 would be better. Also since we have left the owners sent 12 messages through what's app, text message, booking.com message and email basically bullying me into writing this down. I understand that they need the reviews for extra exposure through the site, but to me it went a step too far.
