Clayton Apartments

This was my second time staying here and I loved it. The flats are brand new, very well-equipped, and the location is exceptionally central and convenient.

The location is very central and convenient, and the flat is fully equipped with everything needed for a great stay.

There are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the flat.

The property was in a very central location close to everything and it was spotlessly clean

Only downfalls was there was no lift

The location and facilities are superb. It is right at the heart of city center, just a short stroll to restaurants, supermarkets, and grainger market. Close to the station as well. Couldn't find a better location than this. The facilities are also great. Just like what you see in the photos, probably better. They provide basic amenities at the kitchen too, such as salt and pepper, coffees, plenty of teas, sugar, and milk. I found a carton of juice too in my fridge although didn't consume it. You got everything you can ask for. The security is also great, with multiple secured doors. This is great for single traveller like I did. Overall, it was a nice experience staying at Clayton apartment!

These are not something I don't like, but things to note for people with different needs: - They do not have on-site staff. All instructions are done online and you need to keep eye on booking.com inbox/email inbox to ensure you have done all the required steps before you arrive. Otherwise, you won't get the code to get into the apartment - The main gate is relatively small and easily overlook. I arrived there late at night and almost missed the main door, so pay attention to it. - There is no elevator inside. If you bring large and/or more than one suitcases, need to prepare to carry them all the way up and down the stairs. - I mistook the blanket as the bed because it cover the entire bed. Spent two days without a proper blanket, and Newcastle is pretty chilly. Room for improvement: would be great if there's more heater to use than the central one. Maybe provide the portable fan heater. This would be nice for guests coming from warmer climates. I still felt cold even though I used the heater booster.
