7 min walk from town centre.although small it has a Modern layout .

Had to wait to check in as cleaners not finished , (not the property owned issue as cleaners said they had completed ) No parking permit for the flat but found parking for £12 a day in the Novotel which is only 10 mins walk . Local on street parking free from 8pm overnight to 8am next morning which was easy .

Location ideal.

Stylish York Apartment — unfortunately, not quite the stay we expected. When we arrived, the apartment itself appeared clean and had clearly been prepared for our arrival. However, the toilet was completely broken and unusable. Given that the property had been cleaned beforehand, it was surprising that such an obvious and essential issue hadn't been identified and resolved before we checked in. We reported the problem, but it took the best part of a full day before we had a functioning toilet. This isn't a minor inconvenience like a broken appliance or missing amenity — a working toilet is one of the most basic facilities you expect when paying for accommodation. During that time, I ended up having to urinate outside the property, while my girlfriend had to walk across the road and use the toilet in the pub. Not exactly what you expect when you've paid for private accommodation in York. There were also bags of rubbish piled outside the front door when we arrived, which didn't give the best first impression What disappointed me most was that, despite being without a usable toilet for such a significant part of our stay, no partial refund or compensation was offered. I think that's a reasonable expectation when guests have paid for accommodation that temporarily doesn't provide such a basic facility. There was also a £50 non-refundable damage fee, which we found a slightly strange concept — paying for potential damage regardless of whether you actually cause any. This did at least give me and my girlfriend something to laugh about while waiting for the toilet to be fixed. We started wondering whether the previous guests thought, “Well, we've already paid £50 for damage…” and decided to finish the toilet off themselves.
