The wide golden sands of Bude and Widemouth Bay are just 15 miles away, with excellent surfing, pretty coves and dramatic coastal walks, shopping, leisure facilities, restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Holsworthy, 5 miles, has a good selection of local shops and supermarkets along with a weekly market. The market towns of Okehampton and Launceston, with their historic castle, are a short drive away. To have a break from cooking, there are several good pubs and restaurants close by. For family fun, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks make for a great day out. Coastal and country walking, golf, surfing, fishing, horse riding and cycling are all on offer close by, and Dartmoor National Park is a must for nature lovers.
