Surrounded by lush meadows, high hedgerows, wooded valleys and abundant wildlife, the village and area is popular with those visitors seeking to experience a true taste of country life. Roadford Lake with its sailing, fishing and visitors’ centre is just 4 miles, while the rolling surf, night life and sandy beaches at the closest resort of Bude, are within 20 miles. The RHS Garden at Rosemoor, the Dartington Glass Factory, and the rugged tors and open spaces of Dartmoor also make superb days out and can all be reached in under 40 minutes.
