Good location for our trip to Devon. Property was in a nice, quiet location and was clean and well equipped

Was chilly on arrival. Maybe good to have heating on before guests’ arrival in colder months. Some softer, more ambient lighting in lounge area would be nice .

Great place to base a North Devon holiday - even in mid winter !

Exceptionally clean , well equipped and great location. Communication with the owner was prompt and helpful - we chose the cottages as they are close to family for larger gatherings and we will certainly book here again - thank you for a wonderful stay - highly recommended

Beautiful location, welcoming hosts, peaceful and excellent accommodation

Very insulated cottage and cosy. Sofas incredibly comfortable. Fantastic nights sleep and bed big enough for husband’s 6’2” frame. Peaceful and able to walk the farm trail with a few animals on the way. Welcomed by hosts very nice.

Uncomfortable bed and sofas. TV needs updating. Towels were crispy from line drying.Not enough toilet roll. Feels a bit under the watchful eye of the owner.

We absolutely loved our stay! Couldn't of been happier. Such a lovely quiet place to have a relaxing weekend. The cottage is stunning and impeccably clean (and I'm OCD) and it had absolutely everything we needed inside and out. I also made 2 little mates that greeted me outside a lot.... 2 wee kitty's 😺😁 very friendly. Paul met us outside when we got there and was super friendly and polite! Always at the end of the phone if we needed anything at all which was very comforting as we had never been to holsworthy before. We met his dad too who was also lovely and we had a nice chat. Really nice family and made us feel super super welcome! Would go back in a heartbeat, I didn't want to leave!

A lovely quaint setting in a very special cottage.

The cottage was very clean and nicely/ decorated. There was much attention to all the details to make the guest ‘s stay pleasant and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our staff and the owners were very accommodating and pleasant. I would not hesitate staying there again.

Lovely quiet and comfortable farm location

Lovely quiet farm location. Comfortable lodge, pretty much everything has been thought of - my daughter could not find a pizza wheel however! The sheep were really cute, my children loved feeding them. The host/owner Paul is a really lovely kind person who did everything possible to make our stay lovely.

All really good, at a push my other half was a little wary of driving his camper down the lane to the farm but not really a problem.

The cottage is in a great location with very little else around. This place would really suitable someone who wants to get away from it all. After saying that Waitrose is only 10 minutes down thev road by car.

The only problem, in the eyes of our boys was because of the remote location the wi-fi wasn't so good. Now my wife and I would say that is a small price to pay for such a great location, but they are students and live on the Internet.

A very enjoyable, relaxing and comfortable stay.

The Homestead cottage has everything you need and has been done to high standard and is very comfortable, very clean, and we loved the porch seating and hammock, which was ideal for relaxing in lovely countryside surroundings and very peaceful. I didn’t cook this holiday, but there is waitrose and Co op and also M&S at petrol station nearby. Bude has Morrisons, which is about 15 mins drive. It is a good base to explore the many beauty spots which we travelled to, including Bude, Widemouth bay, Polzeath, Crackington Haven, Tintagel, Padstow, Boscastle and Port Isaac and we also did lots of body boarding. Paul was a great host, checked our family in and also checked we was ok with everything and then when I had a query, Paul got straight back to me,(so was always at hand if was needed), and then didn’t see him until home time for checking out. The Rydon Inn nearby for food is fabulous. We would definitely go back and would highly recommend holsworthy holiday cottages. Thank you for a memorable holiday!

insufficient glasses, just of each, one was chipped but replaced. had to request more than the two of each piece of crockery before arrival as we had two friends staying near-by and we wanted to invite them back for lunch or dinner. the number of glasses wasn’t increased though.

The location is delightful and secluded, away from traffic noise. There is plenty of space and the cottage is beautifully maintained. The family are very helpful. We visited Tintagel and walked the coastal path to Boscalstle, catching a bus back to Tintagel. We also visited the RHS garden at Rosemoor which was spectacular.

From the start Paul the host was extremely polite and helpful even though we were half an hour early. Very easy to find with ample parking outside the door. The Homestead is finished to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean. We will definitely be returning.

Wonderful short break. Super cottage, lovely beaches and some great walks.

Perfect location for exploring Devon / Cornwall border. Paul the host very friendly and helpful. Vast area of meadows to explore on the farm including small children's play area. Fire pit was an added bonus. Very well thought-out COVID precautions.

Although we didn't use it, the log burner in the lounge felt a bit exposed. Would suggest a guard.
