FLORIT FLATS - The Central Market and Lonja Apartment

This is a very beautiful apartment in the old town. We generally had excellent facilities, soap and shower gel were left for our convenience and the kitchen area was well stocked so we were able to cook a meal easily using the produce we purchased from the local Carrefour supermarket. It is within a lovely old building with a winding staircase and the balcony with shutters was delightful. The large double bed and sofa were very comfortable for sleeping. The apartment was clean and tidy. It was a very comfortable place to spend time and I would generally highly recommend it. Although we didn’t meet our hosts, the support online was really very good. They asked us if everything was okay and were very quick to respond if there were any problems. In this regard it is very hard to find fault with anything, though there were two main issues that affected our stay that I will discuss below.

We had just arrived at the apartment after a long journey and there was not a single toilet roll available to use. The holder in the bathroom was completely empty and there were none in sight. I feel it is normal to leave just one roll as a courtesy when someone new enters the apartment. I have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and was very inconvenienced. Luckily I managed to scrape together the few remaining tissues I had in my bag and use those, but that really, for me, is a major and inexcusable oversight. The apartment uses a digital only door entry system called Hoomvip. That means you must fire up an app on your phone and swipe within the app in order to unlock the door. There are several problems with this system. Firstly, it had us terrified of running out of battery. Secondly, there is always the issue of loosing our phones, because let’s face it they are also our camera, first port of call for advice and continually out of a pocket to stay in touch with friends and loved ones. Thirdly, the internet goes down and you can’t use your phone! Finally, the app going down. Apps can and do fail, it is a technological probability. I do feel therefore that we should have been given access to an emergency key. When I brought this up with the host we were told that it was a legal requirement in Spain and that they had to oblige local laws. I have just googled this. This is what my AI search brought up… 1. The True Part: Identity Registration By Spanish law, all holiday rental hosts (like hotels) must register your personal data (passports, IDs, etc.) with the local police or Guardia Civil. This is often why you are asked to scan your documents before or upon arrival. 2. The False Part: Keyless Entry via an App There is no Spanish law that requires a property to have digital locks or forces you to use an app like Hoomvip to access the accommodation.

Komfortabeles Apartment in guter Lage!

Mir gefällt alles, außer dass mir ein Ganzkörperspiegel fehlt. Kompliziert war die richtiger Hausnummer zu finden, müsste immer an Inhaber zu wenden. Aber danach die Wohnung ist super authentisch, sehr gefallen. Nur beim chekaus müsste man punkt zu minute die Wohnung verlassen. Haben aber 15 minuten Verlängerung vereinbart.

Posizione centrale; vicinissimo al mercato centrale

Bagno minuscolo e doccia altrettanto scomoda; scale comuni scomode e ripide. Grave problema dovuto al fatto che per accedere all'appartamento bisogna usare l'applicazione del cellulare; purtroppo sono uscito di casa alle 22:30 ed ho dimenticato il telefono all'interno: tramite un amico ci siamo attivati per contattare subito l'horst - servizio clienti senza ricevere NESSUN SUPPORTO. Abbiamo dovuto dormire presso un altro hotel e siamo stati ricontattati la mattina successiva, dicendoci che per loro non era una emergenza......
