    Great view of fuji, great breakfast, was a great value for my stay. But not close to any buses so you will need a car or taxi

    The room itself was spacious and clean, and the Mt. Fuji view was beautiful. However, my experience was disappointing due to poor communication regarding additional charges and dining arrangements. Before arrival, I clearly informed the hotel through Agoda messages that our group consisted of 6 adults and 2 children. I specifically asked whether there would be any additional fees. The hotel replied that only a facility fee of 1,650 JPY per child would apply, with no mention of any extra charges for additional adults. Based on that written confirmation, I understood that the hotel had reviewed our guest arrangement and confirmed the applicable fees. However, upon arrival, I was unexpectedly charged additional occupancy fees for the extra adults. If this had been disclosed in advance, I could have made a different decision before traveling. I also contacted the hotel beforehand regarding vegan dietary requirements. The hotel informed me that if suitable meal options were unavailable, a free cancellation could be considered. However, when I inquired on-site, I was told that cancellation would not be refunded. The biggest issue was not the amount of money involved, but the inconsistency between the information provided before arrival and what was enforced at the hotel. I hope the hotel improves communication with guests to avoid similar situations in the future.
