From start to finish, the omotenashi was perfect. We received exceptional service from Ms. Iroha, who warmly introduced us to the hotel and explained the dinner experience. The evening was amazing, especially the firefly viewing and the Japanese drum performance. Everyone at Kaneyamaen seems genuinely proud of what they do, and it shows in every detail. My mother recommended this hotel, having visited three times before. I was initially unsure, but the moment I soaked in the outdoor spa while admiring Mt. Fuji, I understood why she keeps returning. It was one of the most sublime and memorable experiences I have ever had. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special

Hospitality and the decor

The facilities: a drums show at the evening, renting nice outfits and an amazing, amazing garden free to explore! The hotel itself is amazing from the inside, maybe the best I have ever seen. You could just walk around and enjoy how great it is. Nice scenery from the inside.

Technically, it is not that well located. 20 minutes taxi from the main station and the city, also 20 minutes taxi to the Chureito Pagoda. Also, we thought we could use the Onsen together with my wife but it was not possible. This information was unclear and honestly misleading to us as we really thought we could use it together. Finally, the dinner is probably amazing for locals and enjoyers, but maybe too typical for tourists. But eh, this is not their fault.
