Inap Retreat Boutique Cabin Kintamani

We had a pleasant one-night stay at Inap Retreat Boutique Cabin Kintamani. The cabin itself was modern, comfortable, and nicely designed, with an amazing view overlooking the lake. The location offers a beautiful atmosphere, especially for enjoying the scenery. The staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with, which made the experience more enjoyable. However, finding the property after dark was quite challenging, so arriving during daylight would be recommended.

Unfortunately, the restaurant was one of the weaker points. The food was quite average, and during meals we had a significant problem with insects, especially flies. There were so many that we had to keep covering our food with napkins throughout the meal to prevent them from landing on it, which was quite unpleasant and affected our dining experience.

We stayed here with our kids and loved how peaceful and quiet it was. Waking up to the lake every morning felt surreal. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even arranged a boat ride for us. Breakfast was delicious with generous portions, and the cool nights made it perfect for stargazing.

The accommodation is close to farms, so there were quite a lot of flies. Coming from the city, we were not used to it, especially the kids. That said, it reminded us that we were surrounded by nature and were simply guests in its environment.

Too much flies every where

The beds were comfy and the cabins were clean inside. Great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

The location is very remote with no other businesses around - down a very bumpy dark track. Felt very isolated and a bit vulnerable. Also, the Kintamani flies were horrendous and ruined our stay. We know this cannot be helped by the resort staff but you cannot eat or drink anything outdoors without being swarmed by flies. We stayed in April and the flies are worse through wet season and shoulder season apparently. We paid quite a lot for a self-grill bbq meal by the lake but could not enjoy this experience due to the flies. We had to get the staff to cook the food for us and bring it to our cabins. Disappointing but the staff did their best to make us comfortable.
