Spen Lane Apartments, York City Centre

Great central location but a very quiet area.

Location is ideal for exploring the city of York. Easy to walk to and from the train station. There is enough equipment to allow for cooking. Apartment is on the first floor and has tilt/open windows which is useful for comfort and security overnight. The details say there is a coffee machine, but there is not. There is a cafetiere and a teapot, which is actually better than being tied to having pods for a specific machine.

Automatic light on stairs, would be better if it came on sooner when you open outer door.

Great position. Very central but quiet. Very well equipped and thought out.

Only two areas for improvement would be quality of bed linen and towels.

Excellent location for nighttime quiet and daytime access to the entire city center. Pristine clean and beautifully updated and decorated. Shower is wonderful and bed was cozy and comfortable. Plenty of space for clothes and luggage. Wonderful natural light through big windows and also exceptional lighting in each room. Owner was clear in instructions and access. Housekeeper must be a perfectionist because it was white glove clean. This apartment is the best we have stayed in during all our travels. Highly,highly recommend it.

The only thing we can think of, and it’s not a deal breaker at all, is to have a hassock in the living room in front of the couch to put your feet on after a long day of walking the beautiful city. Or a small recliner.
