Chez Grand-Mère Elegant Vintage Apartment with Free Parking

Leuk, licht en ruim appartement. Prima douche en goede bedden. Schoon! Vlakbij grote supermarkt met zeer ruime sortering. Daar is het 24/7 gratis parkeren. In 5 min. ben je met de auto in het centrum. Net voor de brug linksaf zijn iets verderop in de straat gratis parkeerplaatsen. Je loopt zo het centrum in met op de hoek een heel goed sushi restaurant. We hebben erg genoten van ons verblijf in Metz.

The flat was beautifully decorated and clearly a lot of thought had gone into providing the best experience for the guests. Banu communicated straightaway which was great although asked me when I was leaving on our final day at 7am when I was enjoying my breakfast…

We didn’t realise that the flat was a considerable way out of Metz- 40 minutes walk. Also it’s in a high rise building on the 4th floor so was incredibly hot and stuffy (just a few fans and NOT air conditioned like it says!). We didn’t feel safe the first night as we spotted a few unsavoury characters hanging around although later learned there were a lot of families living in the complex. We parked in the nearby supermarket but again worried whether this was safe after hours. We wouldn’t stay again. Not when Metz is really pretty and we were miles out and in a complex of high rise, quite stark looking buildings. I wish I’d done my homework and looked into the details more!
