Floating dream cabins, beyond the bridge and footpaths of grey

Provided special request without question, has outstanding taste and combines elegance with adventure and a certain perspective just beyond the horizon of everyday life. The boat is without doubt a gift to the traveller, who is woefully tired of the dull grey tarmac, endlessly spilling forth.until.finally, Metz. The gentleness of water beneath one's dreams tha makes it beyond difficult to rejoin the thing, the mass , the folly of vehicular travel. Woe is me, longing to reacquaint the Phoenician ancestry within my past lamenting the floatational existence that has passed the busy bees and broken thistles that roam the earth and can only look up and beyond and stare longingly at the sun. I will return, I must. Metz is the island of Europe that.never was a part , but apart from all. Metz is a sanctuary island of gentleness, inhabited by beautiful people as your host. Expect nothing less than softness and the ebb and flow of the earth's tears that flow in joy at your arrival and pending dreams to seed our earth of love and nothing less. With love Timothy. X....zzz...💚

Great Fun

It was fun being on a (alert stationary) canal barge. It isn't new, but it is quirky, comfortable and charming. It's a quiet location, but you can watch people jogging, fishing, walking their dogs etc. and it's only a short work to the city centre. The bed was really comfortable and the heating was effective.

It isn't a hotel room, so if that's what you like, stay in a hotel.

Enjoyable all the same given it's few few downsides.

Unique experience given the nature of the accommodation. It has a lot of character.

I can't speak for Cabins 1 & 2, but for Cabin 3 it would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues or a tall person (>6ft). The steep and narrow stairway to get from kitchen to sleeping area would be a challenge.

All in all, a great place for a short stay, highly recommended!

Location was great! Easy to find, 15-20 minute walk away from historical sites/food/parks. Lots of joggers running down the path next to the canal, but in no way disrupting my stay, just enough to make the place feel lively. The cabin on the barge is a little small, but not claustrophobic. Comfy bed, albeit small, and I'm not a huge guy.

Parking is tight, there was luckily one space left when I got there, but look into other parking just in case.

Quiet night on Metz water

This was our first experience in this type of "room", we liked it ! Very quiet and I managed to calm down my wife who was afraid about a possible flood :-D Location is a bit far from city center, but allows to park for free and to discover near places like the magnificent botanic garden. Kitchen well equipped. Coffee pads provided. Nice terrace !

We did not foresee breakfast in advance and had to find a bakery, a bit challenging over there. TV did not work but the owner explained that the batteries of the remote control had to be replaced. I suggested the owner to provide a book with personalized tips (we unfortunately never met him, it works with a key box)

Quiet and serene.

It was a unique experience for us. We had never stayed on a boat before.

It was a ways away from the center of town. We were not able to get an Uber so had to do more walking than anticipated.

A peaceful stay

We loved the peace and tranquility We liked the walk into town along the water The bed was comfortable although it was inconvenient having to climb over each other to get out. The shower was small but the water was powerful and hot. Lovely after a long day. We liked being able to cook.

It could be a bit cleaner. I know it's among nature but the outside could have been washed down before our arrival. We cleaned the table and chairs before sitting out.

Cool spot

We had a wonderfull stay in Metz. It is now 3 weeks en i feel sorry for the late review. It is a super cool cabin we slept in nmr 3. easy to enter with a code. We are Hiking the GR5 North sea to Nice france in stages. super spot close to the city. Our German Shepherd was welcome.

Nous étions dans le studio, beaucoup de charme et dépaysement Avant notre arrivée, nous avions reçu tous les renseignements nécessaires pour que notre séjour se passe au mieux. Ensuite, Etienne a été très réactif face à un petit souci avec la télé

Il est a noter que le studio n'est pas vraiment adapté pour les personnes de plus d'1.80 m, car le plafond est assez bas. La cuisine est au niveau du pont et le reste en dessous. Il a été facile de chauffer le bas, mais la cuisine est restée froide (à noter que nous y étions en fevrier à une période particulièrement froide)

Logement atypique, cabine bien aménagée, décorée et fonctionnelle. Disponibilité du propriétaire très arrangeant.

Parking un peu éloigné de la cabine, chemin très "gadouilleux" en cette saison. Douche très petite et manque de pression pas d eau chaude au robinet de la salle de bain.

Peniche Ma Pensée pour

Beaucoup de charme, hébergement atypique. Très bon emplacement au calme à côté du centre ville. Nous avions loué les 3 cabines pour une réunion de famille, il y avait suffisamment d'espace pour se retrouver à 11 dans le séjour du milieu. Étienne est disponible et très arrangeant. Séjour à refaire aux beaux jours pour en profiter encore plus !

Heel fijn!

Het was een bijzondere nacht op de boot. Het was even zoeken om er te geraken, aangezien ik toekwam als het al donker was. Dus het was een beetje ontdekken. Maar een hele mooie locatie en een fijn verblijf. Alles aanwezig om te koken, comfortabel bed/keuken/douche! Mooi om in de ochtend een wandeling te maken langs het water!

De aanwijzing om op de juiste boot te geraken. Misschien nog een extra bewegwijzering of een iets duidelijker plaatje bij de boot. Maar ik kwam toe als het donker was, dus dat was sowieso een extra uitdaging. Maar een goeie communicatie met de host voor extra instructies!

Studio sur l'eau

L'expérience de dormir sur une péniche et le côté petite cabane cosy sont agréables. Le lit est confortable et il y a des rangements nombreux. Le chauffage électrique marche bien pour la chambre, et l'eau de la douche est bien chaude. L'environnement est calme. On peut marcher jusqu'au centre ville au bord de l'eau. Beaucoup de charme.

La cuisine est située dans la cabine supérieure, qui est froide et difficilement chauffable en hiver. On est prévenus en avance, mais l'eau courante n'est pas vraiment potable... Il faut un peu d'agilité pour descendre et remonter l'escalier menant de la cuisine à la partie basse, en évitant les déperditions de chaleur.

Originalité du logement et situation idéale au calme.

Originalité du lieu. Très bien situé par rapport au centre de Metz. Nous y étions pour le marché de Noël. Lit confortable. Logement qui doit être très agréable mors des beaux jours avec sa terrasse.

Accès sans lampe, d'autant plus que le n° "3" correspondant au n° de la cabine n'est plus présent. Dans le noir, on a cherché un moment la bonne cabine.

la péniche est confortable,calme.Nous avons apprécié l attention du propriétaire avec le sapin de noël. La péniche est située près du centre ville.Le lendemain,nous avons vu passé 2 cygnes et un cormoran par la fenêtre.

le système de porte coulissante entre la cuisine et la salle de bain est défectueux.Sinon,le reste était parfait

Une première pour moi dans une péniche, un séjour enrichissant humainement est un endroit dépaysant.

L’accueil des propriétaires 🫶et Quel adorable loulou🐕 L’emplacement et la propreté des lieux. J’ai passé un séjour dans le studio, tout était fait pour être fonctionnel 💯vous n’avez besoin que de vos bagages 🧳

Un tout petit bémol pour le wi-fi🤏 À l’intérieur de la cabine. mais qui je pense est déjà réglé.

Nous n’avons manqué de rien sur la péniche, c’était propre et nous avons eu bien chaud. Agréable pour ce lieu insolite ! De plus, la proximité du centre nous a permis de de tout faire à pied.

environnement calme

L'emplacement des lieux dans un environnement agréable , un hébergement atypique et de charme qui sort de l'ordinaire une literie très confortable. Attention toutefois à la hauteur sous plafond ainsi que l'escalier permettant l'accès au lieu de vie qui est très étroit et nécessite un peu de souplesse Des explications claires pour une arrivée en toute autonomie . Le présence du nécessaire pour cuisiner , mise à disposition d'un plateau pour petit déjeuner .( café, thé ) carafe filtrante, cafetière etc... 2 sets de serviettes de douche / gel douche dans le distributeur

Quelques déceptions quant la propreté des lieux Dans la cuisine , miettes sur le plan de travail, dans les tiroirs et sur la table du salon. réfrigérateur gorgé d'eau qu'il a fallu enlever avant usage des trainées dans la cuvette des Wc laissées par un précédent locataire ainsi qu'une brosse douteuse qui n'a pas été rincée un rideau de douche moisi par endroit des cheveux dans le siphon de la douche des rideaux de porte jaunis qui mériteraient un tour dans la machine à laver . Quelques détails qui dérangent une fois mis bout à bout mais qui sont solutionnables pour rendre ce lieu encore plus agréable

Cela pourrait être une vraie pépite, dommage que les prestations ne soient pas soignées

La Péniche pourrait être vraiment top, si le ménage avait été fait si le lit et les serviettes étaient correctes, on avait l’impression que quelqu’un avait déjà dormi dans le lit

Le propriétaire annonce juste avant la venue que l’eau n’est pas potable qu’il faut prévoir de l’eau qu’il faut prévoir une Frontale pour arriver jusqu’à la Péniche car le chemin n’est pas éclairé. C’est un peu dommage d’apprendre cela à la dernière minute pour s’organiser surtout qu’on a réservé plusieurs semaines en amont.

Une expérience inoubliable pour toute la famille!

Super concept !! Péniche divisée en 3 logements avec chacun sa terrasse ! Nous étions très bien installés dans un des logements avec 3 chambres confortables en mezzanine. Cuisine bien équipée avec toutes les facilités. Propriétaire très facilement joignable et bienveillant. Super emplacement pour découvrir Metz et faire de belles ballades.

A FUIR🫣

Photos mensongères!! Nous avions réservé une cabine de 35m2et nous avons eu une cabine de 23m2 Le propriétaire recommande de ne pas boire l’eau mais il n’a même pas le politesse de mettre une bouteille d’eau à disposition (0,30 d’euros au supermarché🫣 Le matelas de la banquette est moisit La table a l’extérieur est juste à côté de la fosse septique bonjour les odeurs!! Le Wc n’est séparé que par un rideau léger!!.. les jour vous réveille à 5h pas de volet sur la fenêtre de toit.. la terrasse est juste devant La Tribune du grand stade de foot.. et de l’autre côté route voitures et motos!!.. l’autoroute s’entend très bien.. la cabine était sale et les draps froissés à notre arriver A FUIR

Un posto che ci rimarrà nel cuore

Chiatta posizionata sul fiume insieme ad altre con davanti una strada pedonale/ciclabile che costeggia il fiume,bellissima per fare passeggiate anche se alla sera non è illuminata. La nostra barca era composta da tre cabine/appartamenti e il nostro era il monolocale perfetto per 2 persone più la nostra cagnetta. Piccolo spazio esterno arredato con tavolino sedie e ombrellone con le lucine per poter stare anche alla sera. Interno molto accogliente,cucina con tutto il necessario per cucinare,letto comodo. Proprietario disponibile per ogni problema. Esperienza molto bella,un vero nido.

Con il cane sarebbe stato utile avere un cancelletto per chiudere la passerella,noi abbiamo usato una grata che era sulla barca ma era mobile. Possibilità di stendere se si deve asciugare qualche indumento. Pulizia migliorabile.

Äußerlich eine wunderbare Unterkunft, leider nichts für Gäste, die einen ungestörten Schlaf suchen.

Die Lage das Hausbootes ist gut, vom Stellplatz des Autos muss man allerdings ca. 300 Meter mit dem Reisegepäck zu Fuß gehen. Die Ausstattung ist hochwertig und geschmackvoll. Der Besitzer war jederzeit per Mobiltelefon erreichbar, der Schlüssel war gut und schnell über die PIN verfügbar.

Durch das permanent laufende Frischluftgebläse unmittelbar über den Kopfbereich der Hochbetten war ein ruhiger Schlaf nicht möglich. Ich gehe davon aus, dass das Gebläse aus Sicherheitsgründen notwendig ist. Aber durch die räumliche Nähe zum Bett ist es leider eine permanente Geräuschquelle, die für Gäste mit einem leichten Schlaf nicht zumutbar ist. Schade.
