Le Confort des Sorbiers - 4 pers - Aux portes de Metz

Spacious for two people. Comfortable bed and room temperature when we visited in October. Walking distance to the city centre. Free parking. Free water bottles and a couple of coffee capsules on arrival were welcome.

Sofa was fine for sitting on but would not like to use it as a sofa bed. No hand towels provided in the bathroom, but as it was a short stay, we used the large towels provided.

The apartment is spatious and comfortable, parking on the street close to the apartment was possible, the host responded to my call when I had difficulty to get in to the building

The description how to get into the building was correct, but still not precise enough, so I had to call the owner, he responded and explained and after all went well. There is a button panel on the right to the entrance door and on that button panel the bottom left button without any sign or name on it that's the one that needs to be pushed long enough to open the door.

Overall, the hotel was excellent. It was very clean, tidy, and well maintained. The host was very responsive and helpful with every request. My family and I really enjoyed our stay and had a very pleasant experience.

It was a bit difficult to find the key.

The location was convenient, with free parking nearby and Metz city centre within walking distance. The apartment was spacious enough, clean and comfortable.

The Wi-Fi was very disappointing. The property did not appear to have a proper fixed internet connection, but instead relied on a 4G-based connection to provide Wi-Fi. The quality was very poor and at times even basic websites or streaming would barely load. Given that Wi-Fi was specifically advertised in the booking, I don’t think this should be presented as normal Wi-Fi without making the limitation clear. The 4G/5G reception in the apartment is flaky as well. Communication with the hosts was sometimes a little frustrating. They regularly sent very long messages containing a lot of information, and although they said we could contact them if anything was unclear, one phone interaction felt somewhat impatient when I had missed a detail about accessing the key locker. It made asking for clarification feel less comfortable than expected. Finally, the Booking.com reservation clearly stated checkout was before 11:00. However, at around 10:15 the cleaner arrived and told us she had been instructed that checkout was at 10:00. I booked through Booking.com and therefore relied on the checkout time shown there. This created an unnecessary and uncomfortable end to the stay.
