Lovely and clean close to shops and places to eat
The cupboard with tv on blocked the heat from the radiator it was freezing for about 2 hours until the room finally felt warm. Other than that had a lovely stay and would stay again

Strong, hot shower. Cooking and food storage facilities
Located on a busy street and perpendicular to an even busier main road. The self-contained room I was allocated (first room, ground floor right by the main door) is part of a large HMO (House in Multiple Occupation), which the host didn’t mention at all in the listing but certainly should have. The building looked run down, full of a mix of what looked like students and workers constantly going in and out, day and night.
The room itself was average looking, not very clean, had the essentials and a tiny kitchenette attached to the other end of the wall. The carpets smelled awful and were dirty. I noticed clumps of long hairs on it! Pots for cooking were scratched and rusting. The bathroom was the cleanest space. Damp damage on one of the walls, no sound insulation so you could clearly hear conversations and general noise from other rooms. Main building door mostly left unlocked. I felt uncomfortable and unsafe and was fortunate to be gone within 2 nights.
