Hotel Am Kornmarkt

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel am Kornmarkt, and the hospitality from Jan was truly exceptional. Initially, our room was on the third floor, but because I was travelling with heavy luggage, I asked whether it might be possible to move to a lower floor. Jan immediately tried to help and arranged an available room on the first floor. He even kindly carried my heavy luggage upstairs for me, which I really appreciated. Jan was also very helpful in explaining the main attractions in Heidelberg and recommending good places to eat. His suggestions were very accurate and thoughtful, and they really helped us make the right choices during our stay. The breakfast was another highlight. It was healthy, fresh, and at the same time very delicious, which made for a very pleasant start to the day. The cleaning lady was also very friendly and did a very good job keeping the room clean and comfortable. Overall, the warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful service made our stay especially pleasant. Jan’s kindness and willingness to help made us feel truly welcome. Thank you very much, Jan, for your outstanding hospitality!

There was nothing that I particularly disliked. The lack of an elevator is understandable in a historic building, although it can be inconvenient for guests with heavy luggage. I was fortunate that Jan kindly helped me carry mine upstairs. My only suggestion would be to clearly mention, right after the “no elevator” information, that luggage assistance is available for guests who need it. This would reassure future guests and make the limitation feel much less concerning.

Wegen des undurchsichtigen Fliegengitters konnte man nicht aus dem Fenster schauen. Bei einem Aufenthalt für eine Nacht aber nicht so relevant.
