Skiing in Bad Kleinkirchheim means more than 103 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes, with a children's slope, a slow slope and a snowpark. Other ski areas in the Carinthian Nockberge include the family ski area Heidialm Skipark-Falkert with 12 kilometres of pistes and the ski area Turracher Höhe, a snow-assured ski area with 43 kilometres of pistes and a 1.5-kilometre-long snow park. Highly recommended is the Goldeck ski area near Spittal an der Drau, where you will find the longest black run in Austria!

The nearby Carinthian swimming lakes Millstätter See, Ossiacher See, Afritzer See, Brennsee in the family sports village of Feld am See and the public swimming pool in Radenthein provide much-needed cooling in summer and can be reached by car in 10-30 minutes.
