About this house rental

3 Bedrooms, 2 1/2 Bathrooms. 1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twin Beds. 3 TV's, DVD, wireless internet, wood burning fireplace, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig, charcoal BBQ, deck, double garage, fenced in backyard. This very comfortable home has blue water ocean view from the deck. Nicely furnished and quiet. At the top of Park Hill, just a short walk to the upper ranch trail and only 1/2 mile to Shamel Park and the ocean. This is a split level home. The upstairs is the main part of the house including the master bedroom and bathroom. The living room, dining area and kitchen are upstairs as well as a half bathroom. The downstairs consists of the two other bedrooms and a separate tv room.

The house has no candles, flashlights, or other devices that one can use to help see. We had our phones as the only light source. Candles would have been nice. Power outages are pretty common in Santa Barbara and I would assume in Cambria as well.

I can hardly wait to return. The area is a place to decompress and appreciate. With the Fascilini Ranch so close, one can lose themselves in nature. The home is as listed and we were very comfortable in the home. It was difficult to leave. As a matter of fact, I am already planning a return trip. Cambria Vacation Rentals was easy to work with and Heidi made the experience personal and welcoming. I highly recommend using Cambria Vacation Rental, no matter which home you choose. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood. Place is clean and cozy, exactly what you see on the pictures. In the evening, you can enjoy the sunset right from the windows. Within walking distant to Fiscalini ranch and the beach to enjoy the views. However, the living room can use better lightings and a bigger television. And the kitchen could use a pair of scissors.

The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for any cooking we did. Only suggestion would be to have a few more big mugs for coffee and some clear stemmed glasses for wine. But none of that took away from our enjoyment. Ate in for most dinners, but had a wonderful meal at The Black Cat in Cambria. The house is located about 30-45 minutes from most wineries in the Paso area so you can have a great day there tasting. The Firestone Taproom and Etto Pasta were wonderful stops for lunch. Altogether a fantastic stay!

Reviewer Comments: We will definitely consider staying here again, the house was very clean and comfortable, exactly as described online in the perfect location for walking down the (steep) hill to the beach and going for a quick drive into town. Bonus was being able to park in the garage since it was raining while we were there. Lots of nice little touches such as flashlights next to every bed. Nice to have two coffee machines available but we couldn't find any coffee in the cabinets (perhaps previous renters used it up and it just hadn't been replaced?). One funny quirk is the master bathroom window setup -- one might not want to take a shower or a bath at nighttime as the neighbor's can see your outline with the lights behind you. But overall a wonderful rental and would definitely come back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is comfortable enough, with a king in the master, a queen in the 2nd bedroom, and two twins in the 3rd. We used the "TV room" for our grandbaby in his portable crib. It was a good house for us because I did not feel worried about precious knick knacks or pristine furniture. It just felt relaxed, in that regard. The Master is on the second floor with the kitchen, dining, and living area. The other rooms are on the first floor. Apparently, you can hear people walking around and cupboards opening and closing very well when in those rooms. There is a deck with a table and chairs for outside dining, which we used only once and in the middle of the day because evenings were chilly when we were there. The back yard is not much to speak of, but worked well for the dog. The view of the ocean is a peek-a-boo view. At night in the master you can hear the waves crashing in the distance. We did one walk to the coast, but with the little ones it was a push because the street is very steep, the climb home being tough for some of our group. There is a beautiful community park called Shamel within walking or a short drive distance. The beach is right there, too, but is NOT a swimming beach. Very steep and under tows. There are lots of beautiful rocks to rummage through for jade, jasper, and agate. The best beach is Moonstone Beach. The boardwalk along the cliff above the beach is perfect for an easy stroll and dogs are allowed. The beach does NOT allow dogs. There were lots of surfers and sea life was abundant. We even saw dolphins in the waves. The town of Cambria is essentially split into two sections, both very cute. Access to fun activities is easy, both north and south.
