About this house rental

This 20 year-old home is in a beautiful residential neighborhood overlooking Marino Reserve. All living areas and bedrooms have complete ocean views. The large living area with a cozy fireplace is connected to the dining/kitchen area. The deck, with seating, a table and BBQ runs the length of the house and is perfect for sunset viewing and listening to the waves.

WE HAVE A FULL-TIME TENANT LIVING IN A COMPLETELY SEPARATE STUDIO APARTMENT UNDER THE PROPERTY.

You will enjoy deer in the neighborhood almost daily, listening to the waves softly hitting the shore and the seals. 'I wanted to let you know that we had the best experience ever. 1785 is the best view in all of Cambria in our opinion and we felt so lucky. The many deer Cambria has were a big surprise.' Cambria is a charming town with many shops and restaurants. The Wine Country of the Central Coast is nearby - toward lovely Paso Robles. Hearst Castle is 6 miles north and Big Sur and Monterey are there for a day trip. San Luis Obispo, 20 miles to the South is a charming college town - with access to an airport and train station.

Minimum Stay Requirements:
2 nights in the off season (Typically after Labor Day weekend to Memorial Day weekend)

2 - 3 nights over holiday weekends (President's Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day)

4 nights over Thanksgiving and during the Christmas/New Years season

This is our second year staying at this property, so obviously we love it….spending time basking in the wonderful ocean scenery from the deck, is one of our favorite things! We come to escape all the fireworks as our dog is extremely terrified of them, and we didn’t hear a peep!

This place was everything we needed for our long weekend trip. It was very convenient to the places we wanted to visit. The Cambria Christmas market, the beach, and the bluffs. There were deers and turkeys that hang out around the neighborhood which was very nice to see. You can hear the waves roll in to the beach from the house but it’s a bit of a walk if you want to actually go close to the bluffs or beach. I would definitely recommend this place.

Quite, clean and million dollar views ,the ad pictures don’t do it justice. Breen property managers seem to have it together and made an impression with fresh flowers and a bottle of complimentary wine. Our stay was a great experience.

Great location. Watch the sunset over the ocean from the patio or drink your morning coffee with an expansive view of the ocean. Cool, crisp, clean air. Listen to the waves crash in the distance. House is three stories, with a great TV room on the top floor, perfect for our teen to chill (away from us and the main floor. Lots if room. Super comfy bed and high end bedding. Beautiful bathrooms. Awesome gas fireplace. Very enchanting stay and the owner very nice. We had the entire place. Quiet street. Great stay! The pictures don’t do this lovely house justice, so you will be pleasantly surprised.

My friends, and I, have a tradition of getting away for the 4th of July holiday to help our dogs who are afraid of fireworks. This beautiful home is in a peaceful neighborhood with gorgeous views from the balconies. We got to experience quiet a few deer throughout the week- they are everywhere! The home is beautiful and make a perfect getaway!

The house is very nice and spacious, and the views are even more impressive than in the photos. We are subtracting one star due to the following issues: (1) The property manager said they sent us an email 2 months prior to the rental date, but we never received it and never received a follow-up reminder prior to check-in. Three days before check-in, we tried repeatedly to reach the owner without a response. Finally we got through and received our check-in instructions, but it was a stressful process. Once we connected, the property managers were very helpful and accommodating. (2) The house was well equipped in most respects, but there was no shampoo and only tiny bath soaps. (3) The microwave and range were so complicated you just about needed a doctorate degree to operate them!

This house in a very quiet neighborhood is amazing with it’s fantastic views of the ocean from just about every room. Nice, clean, and very comfortable! We appreciated how complete the kitchen was with all the gadgets you can think of. Short and easy walk to the trails, ten minute drive to downtown for dining and shopping. Would definitely stay here again, thank you!

We stayed at this property for 6 weeks this summer and enjoyed it very much. The house sits on a hill overlooking the ocean. There is a spectacular view from every room (except bathrooms!j. The house is very comfortable, well laid out and clean. The homeowner was very accommodating. Cambria is a fun little town. I recommend it.

Thank you for sharing this incredible property on VRBO. The views are breathtaking. We walked to Fuscalini Ranch Preserve daily. Cambria is so lovely but we didn't even want to leave the house. The house is located in such a way, you can see the ocean every way you walk and turn. This is definitely a favorite property!

Our stay in Cambria was a dual celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary and our being fully vaccinated against covid. We very much enjoyed this home aptly described with spectacular ocean views, rooms bathed in natural light, comfortable furniture, well equiped kitchen. A few nice art pieces add interest to the home. Communication with BREEN Properties and owner Peggy Lessinger went smoothly. The oven had just broken down before our arrival and they were concerned about our needs. It was not an issue as we were actually eager to take a break from home cooking and sample the area's restaurants. Nevertheless, a toaster-oven had been ordered and was delivered the next day. We appreciated this considerate attention. We would love to stay again in this home in the future. Thank you!

I'm happy to report for the year of "2020", booking this property for our only vacation was the highlight of our year. The home is on a quiet street with 180 degree views of the ocean from the back deck and also ocean views from every room. The home is very comfortable, clean and if you enjoy reading, a variety of books are available. The only down side was the HVAC filter was very dirty, which we reported and was not resolved during our stay. Fortunately, the weather was fantastic during our stay and we kept windows open during the day. With Covid-19, this was an ideal home to enjoy with fully stocked kitchen and gas BBQ. We prepared all of our meals and had the best table in town with the fantastic views.

My sister and my dogs had a fantastic stay. The house is very comfortable and well kept. It's a nice quiet area and you hear the surf, seals and an abundant amount of hawks. Fabulous views from every room.

The property is simply perfect! The bedrooms are sizable and the beds are comfortable. The loft is also quite nice but the fold out bed can only accommodate 1 adult. The bathrooms are also large and have great showers and plenty of space. The kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked every meal for our family of 5 adults and 2 dogs. The deck was of course my favorite spot from doing work early in the morning, followed by coffee with the family and of course ending the day with some wine and a beautiful view. We saw plenty of deer right in the yard as the sun was going down. It's a beautiful walk down to the shoreline and easy access to some nice trails. A 7min drive to downtown and all that Cambria has to offer. One of my pet peeves with rentals is they never have enough towels, especially kitchen towels. That is not the case here, they had several kitchen and bath towels...thank you! We will definitely stay here again!

We arrived at 8:00 p.m the day after Christmas to a pull out sofa bed that was broken and had a mattress that was 2 inches thick and I would not have my dog sleep on. We had to get an inflatable mattress for our son to sleep on. There were no blankets for the bed except those on the sofa and the other beds. The kitchen utensils are terrible so do not plan on doing any significant cooking. That said, the view is beautiful and the beds were comfortable.

This whole was so welcoming and comfortable that my friend and I (after enjoying the Cambria and Paso Robles areas each day) chose to enjoy the incredible view, wine, cheese and fruit in the evening, not bothering with a meal. We went to the Black Cat on Saturday but came right back for the view and, yes, some wine. Amazing view and sunsets; incredible home; terrific rental personnel. Last little note: The owner was very kind to make a personal call at one point. That personal touch was much appreciated. Highly recommended

Spectacular views. House was very clean. Bathrooms are great. Master bdrm very large. 2nd bdrm much smaller but functional & comfortable bed. Could use window treatment on slider window. Can hear humming of some sort early morn., in 2nd bdrm. maybe tennant's heater? Not a big issue. Kitchen fully functional, but could use a larger cutting board. If you're a cook, you may want to bring your own knives. Bbq was great on deck and chairs/small table to enjoy the spectacular views. TV in living room small for space. Maybe makes sense to switch larger one from loft.

We loved this house. It had a cozy feel while still being light, clean, and airy. The ocean views and being able to hear the ocean is a real treat! We also loved that the BBQ on the patio was so good! They didn't cut corners here! We enjoyed apple cider by the fireplace as we listened to the crashing waves. We recommend this spot to anyone!

The views are as advertised. Easy to hear the seals. There are plenty of neighborhood streets to walk. Deer are everywhere in the neighborhood (and shy). The hiking trails at the ocean are a short drive or bicycle ride away. It is about 10 minutes drive to downtown Cambria. Everything in the house worked as advertised. My wife and I really enjoyed the "wall of windows" facing the ocean. Great views and nice to let in just the right amount of evening sea breeze.

Seriously, this home really does have the best views. This beautiful home is high up on a hill in a quiet neighborhood, with no home behind it. The vista is uninterrupted more than 180 degrees. Views are of trees and preservation area adjacent to the water. The home is full of windows and transoms, floor to ceiling in the living spaces. You don't even need to use the gorgeous deck to get full views. It is a mile to the water, and to the gorgeous bluff trails on the preserve. Because the home is perched up so high (it feels like being in a tree house), the sounds of the waves breaking are as if you're right on the water. You can stay home and read all day and still feel like you've had a day at the beach! The huge master bedroom also has windows wrapped around, again over 180 degrees. You will sleep to the sound of the ocean, and wake up to see the ocean lighting up. There is an ocean view deck off of both bedrooms and the loft, so everyone gets a deck as well as the view! The furniture is very comfortable, and everything we needed was here, and then some. We used the gas fireplace every single morning while we enjoyed our coffee and watched the waves break. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, and wildlife abounds. We loved the shops and restaurants in the little town, which in only a couple of miles away. We will definitely be back. The only drawback is that you will not want to go home.

We relaxed for 3 days, enjoyed the views and did absolutely nothing but sit on the deck, read and enjoy some drinks all while looking at the beautiful Pacific and listening to the sounds of the seals. The kitchen was functional, I cooked all meals during our visit, the bbq needs to be replaced but I made it work. It does get a bit brite in the early a.m in the master bedroom due to the thin shades, bring your sunglasses if your a guy and your eye mask if your a women, or 2 eye mask, the view from the room is awesome which makes up for the early awakening.

We stayed in this beautiful home for 2 months and enjoyed every minute of it. The unobstructed views from every room in the house are spectacular: an always changing panorama of the ocean and sky, whales spouting every day (we were here in February and March), the Harbor Seals visible on the rock outcroppings, and the lush vegetation of the nature preserve to the south. Fiscalini Ranch Reserve, a treasure of ocean front land, is just a short walk away, and we took our dog on the bluff trail twice a day. The house was perfect for us with a good kitchen layout, a spacious living room, a cozy loft, and two good sized bedrooms. Peggy, the owner is extremely nice and helpful and took an interest in making sure we were happy with everything. Breen was also very responsive to any questions we had. Cambria has an abundance of excellent restaurants and is very close to many wineries. In addition to getting to know Cambria, we traveled north to Ragged Point, visited the Elephant Seals several times, saw the sea otters in Morro Bay, spent a couple of afternoons at Cal Poly, spent several days exploring San Luis Obispo, checked out Montano de Oro State Park, Cayucos, Avila Beach, Pismo Beach, Atascadero, and Paso Robles. We would highly recommend staying here.
