About this house rental
This 20 year-old home is in a beautiful residential neighborhood overlooking Marino Reserve. All living areas and bedrooms have complete ocean views. The large living area with a cozy fireplace is connected to the dining/kitchen area. The deck, with seating, a table and BBQ runs the length of the house and is perfect for sunset viewing and listening to the waves.
WE HAVE A FULL-TIME TENANT LIVING IN A COMPLETELY SEPARATE STUDIO APARTMENT UNDER THE PROPERTY.
You will enjoy deer in the neighborhood almost daily, listening to the waves softly hitting the shore and the seals. 'I wanted to let you know that we had the best experience ever. 1785 is the best view in all of Cambria in our opinion and we felt so lucky. The many deer Cambria has were a big surprise.' Cambria is a charming town with many shops and restaurants. The Wine Country of the Central Coast is nearby - toward lovely Paso Robles. Hearst Castle is 6 miles north and Big Sur and Monterey are there for a day trip. San Luis Obispo, 20 miles to the South is a charming college town - with access to an airport and train station.
Minimum Stay Requirements:
2 nights in the off season (Typically after Labor Day weekend to Memorial Day weekend)
2 - 3 nights over holiday weekends (President's Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day)
4 nights over Thanksgiving and during the Christmas/New Years season
2 - 5 nights during the summer

This is our second year staying at this property, so obviously we love it….spending time basking in the wonderful ocean scenery from the deck, is one of our favorite things! We come to escape all the fireworks as our dog is extremely terrified of them, and we didn’t hear a peep!

Spacious and sunny with impressive views of ocean from every room. Loft provided a great place to work from. Watched whales from kitchen window while cooking! Kitchen cookware and dishes plentiful. Short walk to otter cove where views are spectacular.

We arrived at 8:00 p.m the day after Christmas to a pull out sofa bed that was broken and had a mattress that was 2 inches thick and I would not have my dog sleep on. We had to get an inflatable mattress for our son to sleep on. There were no blankets for the bed except those on the sofa and the other beds. The kitchen utensils are terrible so do not plan on doing any significant cooking. That said, the view is beautiful and the beds were comfortable.
