Very clean and welcoming environment! The staff was super nice and respectful. The main building has such a beautiful cabin vibe to it with a welcoming scent as you enter I wish I could've stayed longer! Beautiful garden and outside areas to sit and enjoy all the green around you. Plenty of water fixtures so that anywhere in the garden you hear flowing water! Rooms were very clean and spacious with a TV in the living room and bedroom area. Bedsheets were comfortable and warm for the cold night that we stayed! Overall a really positive experience with the lodge can't wait to come back!
The shower head only had a few nozzles working and but fairly strong water pressure none the less which helped make up for it!

Room was comfortable & wonderful. Staff was terrific. Went to the lodge for afternoon drinks and a bite and the bartender who was working alone was amazing.
The low toilet surprised me

Cute place, room was large (I booked the 2 room suite) and clean. Ate at the restaurant on site and it was very good. The grounds are beautiful and the location was perfect.
The rooms could use some repairs. The shutters covering the windows were broken and damaged. The toilet seat was very loose and need to be tightened. The couch and chair in the living room had some decent wear and tear.

The staff was very friendly.
Everything was broken. Lamp shades were barely hanging on. Shutters on windows were broken. One was missing the rod to open and close it. The toilet handle kept falling and we had to reach in the tank to properly flush. We texted the number provided in the room, and no response was ever received. We called the front desk, they sent maintenance workers who was able to reattach the shutter blades on one window, but said there was nothing they could do tonight about the other, or the lamp shades. After they left we sat at the table and our drink almost slide off, because it was so wobbly and unstable.

We stay here a lot and so enjoy everything the Lodge offers! Unfortunately, my husband became ill, not related to Lodge, and we cut our overnight portion of the stay.

Front desk staff was kind and wanted to be helpful.
When we arrived the room we were given had not been cleaned by housekeeping and was a mess. We were given a different room but at a downgrade and we were not offered a discount because they refuse to do that when you book through Booking.com. Our new room had cockroaches in the bathroom. I'm still in dispute with them but they're not willing to make this right so far.

Rooms were pretty and comfortable. The property has lots of trees and landscaping. There was a vehicle charging station onsite.
The door to our room was hard to close.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. Loved having the restaurant and lounge experience.
The lighting in the room was poor and no lights above coffee stations. Couldn’t see what we were doing without using phone flashlight. Some shutters were broken.

It was beautiful surroundings. The room we stayed in was very, very nice. Different beds for three friends. Two fireplaces, one in each room. Back door led to a private balcony with seating.
Free breakfast is not included when booking through a third party.

Haven’t got a bad word to say - just wish we had stayed longer.
What beautiful lodge style accommodation. We are traveling as a family of 4 with my elderly mother and we switched to the accessible room last minute, it was a great choice. We sadly arrived after dark but the cottage was beautiful, homely and well appointed. Felt like staying at grandmas house. The fireplaces were beautiful, great tv options for the kids etc.
the grounds of Cambria Lodge are just beautiful, lots of bird life to spot. We can’t wait to come back one day all the way from Australia.

The fireplaces did not work very well, otherwise we loved the room and the patio was a pleasant bonus. We did have trouble with the TV, must be a difficult cable set up as we could only find two stations. But we did not stay there to watch TV.
The restaurant staff. We had made reservations for our 60th wedding anniversary and were to be seated outside by the fireplace. When the hostess went to seat us she put us in the main dining room. When we told her our reservation was for by the fireplace she gave us an unpleasant look as if we were bothering her. She took us out and sat us in the dark. A few moments later another gentleman came and turned on lights and the heater. Then the next morning we asked for some ice to make an icepack as we did not have an ice machine near us and were told we could get ice in the dining area. Again I think the same hostess out flat told us she could not get us ice. We asked a 2nd time explaining the need and what we were told. Again she refused. The nice lady checking us out promptly went into the bar and got us ice. You have such a beautiful facility, that we were really shocked by the restaurant hostess staff. There were two women involved both times, not just one person.

Beautiful. Surrounded by nature. Even had deer grazing at our back fence. Hummingbird flying among the flowers. The stand alone unit was amazing and property was tranquil. Will definitely be back.

Great accommodation, very welcoming environment, quiet at night, live music in the lounge was wonderful and the staff was helping well when needed.
I booked my room with Booking.com and it was quite disappointing to discover that the breakfast was not included. I was surprised as I went to that place before, and the breakfast has always been included. This time they say that when it is booked through a 3rd party the breakfast buffet is charged on top. Booking.com never mention it.

As always the grounds were beautiful.
Bathroom floor was dirty and people above were extremely noisy until late and very early in the morning. There was a porsche car club staying as well and the bar and restaurant were full so we had to leave the premises. We did ask for another room and were given one the next day.

We were happy to be able to bring our dog with us. They are very welcoming to dogs which is wonderful. In fact the whole town of Cambria welcomes your furry pets. We had a room downstairs with a patio which was perfect for us. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and the heater worked great. The bed and sheets were comfortable too.
When we ordered food to go from the restaurant, they didn't include plastic utensils. Small complaint!! My husband had to go back to the restaurant to pick them up. The food was wonderful though, especially the kale salad!! I also was not a fan of the electric kettle for making coffee. Tea, yes, I can understand, but coffee needs to be brewed. I didn't like the coffee pods that you pour boiling water over. I understand it's easier for the hotel though, just my preference. It would be nice if they had a coffee station setup in the lobby. Maybe they did, but I didn't see it. Anyway, there are lots of coffee shops in Cambria to choose from if you want a good cup of coffee.

It was not clear from the listing that there is an annex across the road. It's not that the distance is a problem, it's a one minute walk. The annex needs a renovation and has poor noise insulation. Our room was tired and dirty in many areas. The sheets and towels were clean, but it is clear the room had not had a hard goods renovation for a very long time. The restaurant food was mediocre at best, although the bar area had live entertainment and was fun; it seems to attract locals as well as hotel guests.
Aside from no view and partly dirty room, our biggest complaint, and this is not a little item, was that there had been a water safety alert in Cambria in place prior when we checked in. The front desk staff made no mention of it and there was no signage alerting guests about potentially hazardous water in our room or in public areas. The ONLY reason we found out about the water safety alert was a text message I received from the local water authority the day after we slept in our room, after drinking and bathing in the water. The text message from the local water authority said that the alert had been lifted, and thankfully, there were no toxins discovered. This could have compromised our health and is inexcusable that the hotel made zero effort to warn us at any time during our stay. We dined in the in hotel restaurant and had a drink in the bar, no mention in either of those outlets either. The next morning when we checked out, I brought this to the attention of the front desk person and asked to speak with the duty manager. I was told there was no manager at the hotel at that time (8:00am in the morning). As I explained the issue to the front desk person, she seemed annoyed that I was complaining and hurried up with my checkout so that no other guests might hear what happened. Just before we left, a manager appeared and she asked if we drank the water or brushed our teeth. I told her we did. She also seemed annoyed by the discussion and took a tone of humoring us by listening and couldn't wait to get us out the door. I would not stay here again if it were a free room. Caveat emptor.

Beautiful location and lovely gardens to walk around. Cute walking path leads to the nursery which is also more of a botanical garden than a typical nursery. The room was comfy/cute enough and clean.
No AC or fans in the room and it was uncomfortably hot. Room keys didn’t consistently work. WiFi didn’t consistently work. Price was high for the quality of the room. The room had marks on the walls and a shredded luggage holder. The window shades were partly broken and the sun beamed directly in the room making it extra hot especially without AC.

Bed and linens were clean; the location was nice; the gardens were quaint.
The first room we were given was terrible. There were stains on the wall. Someone had made marks on the wall where pictures should go, but there wasn't a picture there. The window screen was broken. There were no real curtains. The linoleum in the bathroom was from the 60s. The bathroom was so old. We asked for another room and luckily the front desk didn't question us. They gave us another room which was cleaner and was slightly more updated, however, it still looked like it was from the 1980s. The carpeting needs a refresh, the window did not open, and they needed to replace the curtains. It also had a slight smell of mold. In the morning of the second day, I used the blow dryer in the small part of the bathroom and it tripped the circuit while my friend was in the shower so that the lights no longer worked. I was disappointed with the property overall given all of the positive reviews online.
