Prepaid Booking Cancelled by the Host the Morning of our Check in Date!!!

We booked the apartment on August 30, 2025 for 3 nights and paid in-full on September 14th. Our check-in date was October 15th. On the day we were to arrive, the Property Host called to say that they had given the apartment to another guest so it was not available. They sent a link to 2 other properties as an alternative (in very different locations that were not acceptable). They said that they were more expensive, but they would not charge us the difference. I looked them up on Booking and found that they were significantly LESS expensive. I was told that since I was offered another option, that I could not cancel without paying a cancellation fee. As a result, we had to spend several hours dealing with the cancellation and finding another place to stay. I called Booking customer service and they provided a full refund to my credit card immediately. Thank you Booking!

Exceptional view.

Beautiful apartment, great kitchen amenities, and everything you could want. Parking outside was simple. Entering the property was simple, too. Exceptional view from the balcony.

The location on booking is wrong, and there's an additional 10 minute walk-up hill to get to the property. This is worth doing for the exceptional views, though. Property didn't really feel like it was set up for 4 of us to stay. Two of us found additional bedding and slept on the sofa, but this wasn't a sofa bed.

The view is beautiful but the service is poor.

The view is beautiful and the balcony is spacious. The apartment is spacious. The location is good, 15 mins to old town.

The apartment was dirty, not cleaned well, the sofa and carpet were full of crumbs and hair. The mattress and bed are very uncomfortable, The smell inside the apartment and toilets is not fresh The shower is very small and not comfortable, and the water doesn't drain, There was no tissue papers, no kitchen towels, and not enough toilet papers, There was no basic amenities like coffee capsules, or tea. The parking is not always available on the street, we had to park far and walk. The host communication is poor.
