Helvellyn Cottage

Host was friendly, beds were comfortable. Aesthetic was to our liking and very clean also.

Only downside was noisy floors and doors. Which when sharing a bathroom is more frequent. Also, first morning the dogs were very loud quite early and woke us up.

Lovely room Fridge Cutlery

A shared bathroom needs bleach, and cleaning products so you can leave it clean for the next person Not aware the owners cleaned the facilities each day, appears not. Bins in bedroom and wet towels not removed each day Left on door step , anxious , nobody let me in for ten minutes , felt worried after a long journey Huge potential, lovely room and idea of being self contained is great. Some water in the room would have been helpful. No engagement with owners, not much needed, but being available for any questions or advice would have been helpful for a solo traveller. Dogs going crazy in the house when owners went out was disturbing, no peace, I couldn’t do any work .

It was a really pleasant place, unfortunately I had to cancel my second day. Linden was a good host.

Beautiful old house with easy parking. Great to have a fridge, microwave and toaster in room.

Bed sheets not changed from previous guest. Only pub to eat.
