Emplacement parfait pour ce bel appartement bien équipé et confortable. La salle de bains est très agréable, la chambre est spacieuse. On peut facilement prendre le train à Principe pour aller visiter la côte.

This large one-bedroom apartment was clean, well appointed and tastefully decorated. It came with all the essentials, including basic cooking staples like oil, salt, pepper and sugar, which was a lovely touch. The apartment is very quiet, with two separate air conditioning units and roller shutters on all windows, and the building has a lift. It’s close to the train station, either up some stairs or via a windy road. Oksana, the host, was very kind, helpful and quick to respond to anything I needed. It was a brilliant stay overall, and a great base for exploring — Santa Margherita was the highlight of my day trips, with beautiful beaches and an enormous choice of restaurants, and Portofino was stunning (if pricey). The public transport is excellent, and I’d recommend taking the ferries to visit the neighbouring towns too.

The only small thing was the main towel provided — it was more hand-towel sized than a proper body towel. Not an issue for me personally, but worth knowing if you’d prefer a larger one.

- Shower without door + drain that doesn't swallow water well = flooded bathroom floor every morning. - The towers smelled bad! - A few dirty glasses, and the oven was not clean. - The way up from the train station to the accommodation -through a lot of stairs- is very hard if you are carrying suitcases! - It was not the apartment fault, but the neighbors upstairs were building a new bathroom and they were working all three days, hammers and noises since 9 am :(
