Welcome to our “Strandstuuv Vacation Apartment” in “Haus Casper,” a comfortable retreat on the charming North Sea island of Langeoog. This exclusive accommodation will pamper you with luxurious comfort and wonderful moments of relaxation. Just a few minutes’ walk, and you’re already at the beach!
The vacation rental features a modern, open-concept layout that creates a spacious feel. The living area and kitchen are harmoniously connected, so after a day at the beach or a bike ride, you can spend relaxing evenings here on the comfortable sofa, watching TV and reading. Sofa pillows, a throw blanket, and a dimmable ceiling light with a reading lamp add to the cozy atmosphere.
For culinary experiences, the modern kitchen is equipped with a 4-burner induction stove, an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a dishwasher. As a coffee lover, you can choose between a classic drip coffee maker and a portafilter espresso machine. The dining area, with its wide window front and beautiful natural light, invites you to enjoy relaxed meals.
The two separate bedrooms offer both comfort and privacy. One bedroom is furnished with a comfortable king-size box-spring bed; the second bedroom has two single beds that can be pushed together to form a double bed if needed.
The elegant bathroom, with its own sauna and open shower area, ensures a soothing and relaxing experience.
The highlight of the vacation rental is the large furnished terrace with a garden. The perfect setting for relaxation in the fresh sea breeze—a wonderful vacation feeling! We’re happy to provide lounge chairs upon request.
Additional amenities include games and books for all ages, as well as binoculars and a spotting scope.
For young North Sea vacationers, a crib and a high chair are available. A handcart can also be provided upon request.
You’re welcome to bring your dog (max. 1). A food and water bowl is provided for your four-legged family member.

In our exclusive, newly built vacation home “Haus Casper” and the neighboring “Haus Christine,” you’ll enjoy a dreamlike getaway in the heart of Langeoog. The houses are located right on the pedestrian zone and at the same time on a quiet, green side street. Just a few minutes’ walk from the property, you’ll find several restaurants, cafés, bakeries, doctors’ offices, and supermarkets. Small fashion boutiques, green spaces and parks, gyms, a bar, and a bookstore are also nearby. Just a 6-minute walk, and you’re already at the beautiful beach!
Four individually designed vacation apartments in “Haus Casper” invite you to feel at home and relax. The ground-floor apartments feature spacious private gardens; one of them is a duplex with an additional rooftop terrace. Two additional duplex apartments are located in the attic and loft, each with its own rooftop terrace. For added comfort, all units feature their own sauna.
Both houses are KfW-40 energy-efficient homes with sustainability certification (built in 2025) and are powered by a heat pump and solar system.
The property has a special place in the island’s history: It was once the home of Casper Otten, a prominent islander who served as chief of the DGzRS station on Langeoog from 1891 to 1923 and, during that time, rescued 94 people in distress at sea together with his crew. Casper Otten also served as the local lifeguard, ensuring safety at the “Family Pool” and the “Men’s Pool,” while his wife, Christine Otten, supervised the “Women’s Pool.” Casper Otten was awarded the Silver Prince Heinrich Medal for his bravery. Surprisingly, despite his rescue missions in the water, Otten had never learned to swim.
The two vacation homes honor this extraordinary man and his wife, combining their legacy with modern living comfort for lovers of the island of Langeoog.
