Short holiday in Thessaloniki

Great location, new hotel, fantastic staff wery warm and welcoming. Also when there was technical issue with leaking water in our room they reacted promptly and gave us another room, so we didn't even feel any inconvenience. And breakfast was just something different than any other hotel I have experienced, if not for other things, it is worth to stay in Nyx just for that.

Brilliant excellent staff! (porter Nicarius especially), clean and modern

The welcome when we arrive in taxi is splendid. The porter, Mr. Nicarius, introduced himself, carried all our luggage from taxi to the room. He was always helpful when asking for taxi routes, early breakfast and much more. You are lucky if he is on call when you arrive! The hotel in general seems new, good standard, clean, and what impressed was daily cleaning, and just the extra touch from the housekeepong whom folded clothes as well. Reception is also very helpful, but in this hotel it is not necessary to ask reception about much, because both porter/bellman and housekeeping always helps you! In general the staff on hotel, is extremely high standard. As mentioned Nicarius was amazing, just a really nice person, even the resturant he recommended was quality. So both the clean standard, quality of housekeeping, and helpful porters gave the extra touch. NYX Thessaloniki has a wonderful staff.

Only one thing makes this hotel not worthy 10/10. The room we had (7th floor), was very humid/damp and 25 celsius degrees. There was air condition there, but all rooms was blocked from cooling during our stay. That made sleep a bit challenging. But I want to clarify: The Staff is 10/10, the rooms are modern and clean, it’s just that a humid warm room is unusual to sleep in for us, from Scandinavia.

-Excellent breakfast with many choices and delicious options -Brand new modern rooms -Staff was eager / enthusiastic to help -Very comfortable room -Great location next to all the bar / restaurants

-TV turned on by itself in the middle of the night (3am) and kept turning on by itself. Called staff for help and we eventually just unplugged it to resolve the issue -Slightly noisy but still could sleep without issues, but this is somewhat expected given the central location -Cleaning staff forgot to replace the drinking water for 2 of the nights

Το δωμάτιο μας είχε πόρτα για να ενώνεται με το διπλανο, απο εκεί ακούγαμε τα πάντα απ΄οτο διπαλό και φυσικά το διπλανό άκουγε εμάς. Τα κουφώματα, έμπαζαν κάπως και κρυο και θόρυβο.

Καθόλου άνετο δωμάτιο σε σχέση με την τιμή, το μπάνιο που μας δώσανε ήταν για ΑΜΕΑ, με τα νερά του ντους να πλημμυρίσουν όλη την τουαλέτα με αποτέλεσμα να καλέσουμε την κοπέλα του housekeeping για να στραγγίζει τα νερά αργά το βράδυ. Επίσης δεν υπήρχε καθόλου ηχομόνωση με αποτέλεσμα να ακούγονται όλε οι συνομιλίες στο διάδρομο ακόμα και τα ξημερώματα

Konum çok iyi, sıra dışı renkli bir otel. Konsept ve devamlı hareketli. Otelin yan sokağında otopark imkanı da var. Kahvaltı gayet yeterli. Fakat bu giriş ve çıkış saatleri iyice saçma olmaya başladı. 11 çıkış için çok erken giriş 15 için çok geç. 12 çıkış 14 giriş olması lazım yoksa bir gün çöp oluyor.

Η εξυπηρετηση αριστη η διακοσμηση των κοινοχρηστων χώρων και ο αρωματισμος των διαδρομων ηταν πολυ ιδιαίτερη και εντυπωσιακή, η τοποθεσια άριστη.

Το προσωπικό, στο εστιατόριο, στη ρεσεψιόν, στους ορόφους, ήταν άριστο, πάντα έτοιμο να μας εξυπηρετήσει και να μας προσφέρει ότι χρειαζόμαστε κι επιθυμούμε. Νεανικό προσωπικό, όμορφα και γελαστά πρόσωπα που φτιάχνουν την ημέρα σου. Επίσης μας άρεσε πολύ η μουσική που ακουγόταν στο lobby και στο εστιατόριο, επίσης πολύ νεανική και μοντέρνα πινελιά σε σχέση με άλλα ξενοδοχεία. Τα δωμάτια είχαν άριστα κλινοσκεπάσματα και πετσέτες, η διακόσμηση ήταν πολύ μοντέρνα και original με πολύ καλά υλικά. Επίσης υπήρχε καφετιέρα με κάπσουλες νεσπρεσσο και στιγμιαίο καφέ και βραστήρας και κέρασμα μικρά γλυκίσματα. Το μπάνιο δε παίρνει 10 με τόνο. Το πρωινό είχε μεγάλη ποικιλία και μάγειρα που σου ετοίμαζε επί τόπου ομελέτες κα. Θα ήθελα κάποια προϊόντα ζύμης, όπως η μπουγάτσα, σπανακόπιτα, τυρόπιτα να μην είναι τόσο στεγνές, μάλλον από τη λάμπα θέρμανσης. Η τοποθεσία είναι απίστευτα βολική, δίπλα σε όλα, σε καφετέριες, εστιατόρια, στη νυχτερινή ζωή της Θεσσαλονίκης και στο εμπορικό κέντρο. Υπάρχει βέβαια κάποιος θόρυβος από την Τσιμισκή λόγω μεγάλης κυκλοφορίας, ιδιαίτερα επειδή ήμασταν στον 1ο όροφο. Πάντως η αλήθεια είναι ότι τα κουφώματα απομονώνουν πολύ καλά το θόρυβο, οπότε δεν μας ενόχλησε αυτό το θέμα.

Το δωμάτιο ήταν σχετικά μικρό και δεν είχαμε διπλό κρεβάτι. Φυσικά είχαμε επιλέξει τη φθηνότερη κλίμακα δωματίου, οπότε δεν μπορούμε να παραπονιόμαστε και πολύ. Επίσης η διακόσμηση του ξενοδοχείου, η οποία είναι πολύ ιδιαίτερη, με το μαύρο πάνθηρα ως κεντρικό θέμα, μπορεί σε κάποιους να μην αρέσει . Εμείς πάντως το βρήκαμε ιδιαίτερα original.

Η τοποθεσία ιδανική — κοντά σε όλα. Το δωμάτιο άνετο, με υπέροχη θέα και όλες τις παροχές που χρειάζεσαι για να χαλαρώσεις πραγματικά. Σίγουρα θα ξαναέρθουμε! Uitstekend, met een paar verbeterpunten om het uitmuntend te maken

Het hotel is van alle gemakken voorzien. Een heerlijk bed, allerlei verzorgingsspullen (denk aan een fohn, strijkijzer en strijkplank, tandenborstel, bodylotion, haarkapje, oogmaskers etc.), leuke aankleding en een prachtige badkamer met mooie regendouche. Om nog maar niet te spreken over het mega uitgebreide ontbijt. De locatie is uitstekend in de winkelstraat, eetgelegenheden en bars op loopafstand. Ook op de boulevard met uitzicht op zee ben je zo!

1) Door het hele hotel (in de gangen, in de lift en in de algemene ruimtes) staan geurverstuivers, waardoor je continu wordt bloodgesteld aan een specifieke geur die je na een aantal dagen wel zat bent. 2) Het personeel is supervriendelijk, eigenlijk te. Wat ons betreft is er veel te veel personeel voor de taken die er te doen zijn. Met 6 man in de lobby voor inchecken en koffers naar binnen rijden, maar als je iets te drinken wilt bestellen krijg je van de eerste 2 mensen te horen 1 minute, of even geduld aub, waarna een derde of vierde persoon het kan maken en dat op het gemak gaat doen. 3) Bij het ontbijt word je continu in de gaten gehouden of je je eten/drinken al op hebt, zodat ze het servies kunnen weghalen. Dit is irritant en geeft een opgejaagd gevoel. At the end is de bedoeling goed en zit ook voor een deel in de mensen en de cultuur.
