The apartment was okay. The description of the location was not. My wife and kids were scared of the dismal alley entrance. The stairway was not clean. Did it say it was a three story walk up? There were very few amenities other than one towel per person. No wash cloths or paper towels,

Updated bedrooms with comfortable beds and a modern kitchen made for a wonderful family stay. Martin was an extremely helpful host!

Our family had a very nice stay in Martin’s apartment. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us and it was very well equipped. The central location put us within easy walking distance to all the main attractions as well as the train station.

Our time in Nimes was very enjoyable. The apartment was very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable. We were close to everything. We walked to the museums and jardins de la Fontaine. It was especially nice to be near les Halles where we bought several meals to eat at the apartment. Communication with Martin was excellent.

Great apartment in the center of Nimes. Access to shops, historical monuments and restaurants. Parking ramp three blocks away. The apartment is spacious and really nice. We were a family of 4 with teenage kids. The apartment is rustic with so much charm. Great kitchen, we cooked almost every night. The bathroom is really nice as well. The bedrooms are decent size. We loved the apartment. The owner Martin checked on us to see if we had everything. We appreciated that. Highly recommend the apartment.

The apartment is convenient to all of the sights. Very close to the Mason Carrée, the market, and lots of shops. We easily walked to Les Jardins de la Fountaine, Arènes de Nîmes and many restaurants. The apartment is pretty, clean and functionally furnished. It is perfect for 4 people and worked well for my family of five. The owner was accommodating for our late arrival and was easily reached by email or phone. Beware that many of the streets are pedestrian only, but GoogleMaps doesn't always know. It directed us down a street that was blocked and became so narrow we couldn't open the car doors and had to back out. The apartment is on a short pedestrian alley off a drivable road. There is very little street parking, so plan on using one of the parking garages if you have a car.

Master of Architecture students on my urban studies program have stayed here for a second year and loved it. Martin appeared and resolved a clogged drain in the washer the day it was reported. We could not be happier with both the accommodations and the kindness of the host.

We were two couples spending a week in Nimes. This apartment was the ideal location, within walking distance of all the sights. We particularly enjoyed visiting the market (two blocks away) each morning to pick up food to cook. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and the washing machine was handy. There was plenty of space for two couples. The shower was large and clean with plenty of hot water. A couple of things to note: This is a walk up apartment, which did not pose a problem for the four of us fit adults. It could potentially be a problem for someone with mobility issues. Once inside the apartment, the bedrooms are another floor up on a narrow staircase. For anyone arriving by car to Nimes, we found the apartment difficult to find as you cannot drive up to it. Our suggestion would be to park in one of the underground lots nearby, walk to find the apartment, meet the owner and then move your luggage in. There was never any street parking available so we found the parking garage at the market to be the most reasonable. They do not have in/out privileges so if you are planning day trips from Nimes the additional cost of parking a vehicle can add up. Also beware there are many very narrow one way streets. While in Nimes we walked everywhere but navigating in and out of the city was sometimes a challenge!

We stayed in Nimes in late September/early October 2017. I would say that this was a very well, and newly renovated apartment with a modern design. The photos provided are an accurate portrayal of the MOST of the apartment’s features. The apartment is in the old city centre close to everything. Also on the positive side, the property manager was agreeable on the amount of the damage deposit required. However, I can corroborate and agree with the Spanish speaking reviewer (review from July 2016) of this property, although a little less sarcastically. There are too many things wrong with this property to recommend it. Unfortunately, what was said regarding the location and communicating and meeting with the property manager was true. The entrance truly is located in a dark alleyway, and really hard to find. The property manager should have met and presented the property. Instead we were told to find someone at the tourist office who had a key and then given directions. In addition, there really are 2 flights of steps up a very steep, narrow and dark corridor to the entrance to the apartment. However, the following truly are deficiencies: - Lack of cleanliness. It doesn’t matter how nice an apartment is renovated if it is not clean. We had to mop the bathroom floors (at least), because it was clear it wasn’t done prior to our arrival. I paid a significant amount for cleaning, and it sure wasn’t worth it. - This well renovated apartment deserved decent furniture. Some of the furniture was garbage. The two single beds were so bad we couldn’t get any sleep, the double bed was only a bit better. The living room furniture seems to have been obtained from a charity, and also suffered from a lack of cleanliness. - Having asked for extra towels (only if a significant cleaning fee was paid) I regretted having asked. They were like sandpaper. -The sheets were basic, and the pillows were not pillows, but really cushions and there weren’t enough of them. - a lack of basic daily amenities, such as toilet paper, paper towels, etc. we were told that these are the tenant responsibility. I normally don’t travel with all this stuff and having to buy it upon arrival takes time out of my vacation. Unfortunately this property cannot be recommended. A nice renovation ruined by extremely substandard furniture and linens, lack of basis amenities and uncleanliness. Too bad; it wouldn’t take much to make this a really nice property
