The apartment was okay. The description of the location was not. My wife and kids were scared of the dismal alley entrance. The stairway was not clean. Did it say it was a three story walk up? There were very few amenities other than one towel per person. No wash cloths or paper towels,

The feel of Nimes and all it had to offer came shining through in this perfectly situated apartment. Short and quiet walks away from several squares with numerous cafes and stores. Updated bedrooms with comfortable beds and a modern kitchen made for a wonderful family stay. Martin was an extremely helpful host!

Our family had a very nice stay in Martin’s apartment. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us and it was very well equipped. The central location put us within easy walking distance to all the main attractions as well as the train station.

Our time in Nimes was very enjoyable. The apartment was very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable. We were close to everything. We walked to the museums and jardins de la Fontaine. It was especially nice to be near les Halles where we bought several meals to eat at the apartment. Communication with Martin was excellent.

Great apartment in the center of Nimes. Access to shops, historical monuments and restaurants. Parking ramp three blocks away. The apartment is spacious and really nice. We were a family of 4 with teenage kids. The apartment is rustic with so much charm. Great kitchen, we cooked almost every night. The bathroom is really nice as well. The bedrooms are decent size. We loved the apartment. The owner Martin checked on us to see if we had everything. We appreciated that. Highly recommend the apartment.

Great location, beautiful apartment

The apartment is convenient to all of the sights. Very close to the Mason Carrée, the market, and lots of shops. We easily walked to Les Jardins de la Fountaine, Arènes de Nîmes and many restaurants. The apartment is pretty, clean and functionally furnished. It is perfect for 4 people and worked well for my family of five. The owner was accommodating for our late arrival and was easily reached by email or phone. Beware that many of the streets are pedestrian only, but GoogleMaps doesn't always know. It directed us down a street that was blocked and became so narrow we couldn't open the car doors and had to back out. The apartment is on a short pedestrian alley off a drivable road. There is very little street parking, so plan on using one of the parking garages if you have a car.

We were two couples spending a week in Nimes. This apartment was the ideal location, within walking distance of all the sights. We particularly enjoyed visiting the market (two blocks away) each morning to pick up food to cook. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and the washing machine was handy. There was plenty of space for two couples. The shower was large and clean with plenty of hot water. A couple of things to note: This is a walk up apartment, which did not pose a problem for the four of us fit adults. It could potentially be a problem for someone with mobility issues. Once inside the apartment, the bedrooms are another floor up on a narrow staircase. For anyone arriving by car to Nimes, we found the apartment difficult to find as you cannot drive up to it. Our suggestion would be to park in one of the underground lots nearby, walk to find the apartment, meet the owner and then move your luggage in. There was never any street parking available so we found the parking garage at the market to be the most reasonable. They do not have in/out privileges so if you are planning day trips from Nimes the additional cost of parking a vehicle can add up. Also beware there are many very narrow one way streets. While in Nimes we walked everywhere but navigating in and out of the city was sometimes a challenge!

We stayed in Nimes in late September/early October 2017. I would say that this was a very well, and newly renovated apartment with a modern design. The photos provided are an accurate portrayal of the MOST of the apartment’s features. The apartment is in the old city centre close to everything. Also on the positive side, the property manager was agreeable on the amount of the damage deposit required. However, I can corroborate and agree with the Spanish speaking reviewer (review from July 2016) of this property, although a little less sarcastically. There are too many things wrong with this property to recommend it. Unfortunately, what was said regarding the location and communicating and meeting with the property manager was true. The entrance truly is located in a dark alleyway, and really hard to find. The property manager should have met and presented the property. Instead we were told to find someone at the tourist office who had a key and then given directions. In addition, there really are 2 flights of steps up a very steep, narrow and dark corridor to the entrance to the apartment. However, the following truly are deficiencies: - Lack of cleanliness. It doesn’t matter how nice an apartment is renovated if it is not clean. We had to mop the bathroom floors (at least), because it was clear it wasn’t done prior to our arrival. I paid a significant amount for cleaning, and it sure wasn’t worth it. - This well renovated apartment deserved decent furniture. Some of the furniture was garbage. The two single beds were so bad we couldn’t get any sleep, the double bed was only a bit better. The living room furniture seems to have been obtained from a charity, and also suffered from a lack of cleanliness. - Having asked for extra towels (only if a significant cleaning fee was paid) I regretted having asked. They were like sandpaper. -The sheets were basic, and the pillows were not pillows, but really cushions and there weren’t enough of them. - a lack of basic daily amenities, such as toilet paper, paper towels, etc. we were told that these are the tenant responsibility. I normally don’t travel with all this stuff and having to buy it upon arrival takes time out of my vacation. Unfortunately this property cannot be recommended. A nice renovation ruined by extremely substandard furniture and linens, lack of basis amenities and uncleanliness. Too bad; it wouldn’t take much to make this a really nice property

Great flat, really nice contemporary decor inside a character big old French building. Brilliant location to step out straight into Nimes old town, with hundreds of restaurants, several old squares and all of the Roman monuments. Easy to drive out to Pont du Gard, Avignon and much more too. Would be great to return for another week

My sister and I had a great stay here for a week in May. The location is excellent for visiting the city -- we especially loved being so close to Les Halles. The apartment is very well-equipped, bright, and pleasant. We've rented quite a few apartments through vrbo and sometimes been disappointed to find the furniture not very comfortable, which is a drag at the end of a long day of walking and seeing sights. But this apartment was truly comfortable. Good kitchen too! Those considering renting should be aware there are several flights of stairs to be climbed. We found communications with Martin to be easy, prompt and helpful. We would gladly return! Merci Martin!.

Logement très bien situé au cœur de Nîmes. On peut visiter le centre à pied. Les Halles, avec leurs bons produits, sont très près de l’appartement. Les propriétaires ont été à notre écoute. Seul bémol, l’escalier de l’immeuble et l’impasse qui peuvent faire peur à l’arrivée.

absolument aucun moyen simple de décharger la voiture et de la recharger, pas de places de parking à proximité aucune place de parking gratuite dans les environs, malgré ce que dit le loueur prévoir entre 20 et 25 euros de parking par jour dans les parkings souterrains alentour, ce qui augmente le budget lors de notre séjour, panne de box et d'éclairage dans les communs l'emplacement est par contre très bon

Appartement très agréable, propre ou rien ne manque et rudement bien placé. Nous n'avons pas prit la voiture du weekend et avons fait le choix de la stationner à proximité du logement dans un parking souterrain en forfait weekend pour 30 euros. Nous recommandons aussi le restaurant "Le Nocturne"sur Nîmes pour les amoureux de la gastronomie :) Martin est e à l’écoute. Merci à lui pour le gout et l'élégance de son logement

A 2 pas de la Maison Carré et de tout le cœur historique de Nîmes. Visites à pied après avoir laissé la voiture dans un des parkings souterains peu onéreux. Logement propre et fidèle aux photos, ne pas s'arrêter à l'aspect de la cage d'escalier car l'appartement est en fait situé dans l'immeuble d'à côté. Equipement un peu juste pour cuisiner et pas de "fond d'épicerie" ou de bouteille d'eau au frigo à l'arrivée malgré la chaleur. A part ça, pas de reproche, procédure d'arrivée et de départ simple et propriétaire attentif.

Vielen Dank für diese schöne Unterkunft! Die Wohnung liegt mitten in der Altstadt, in einer winzigen Gasse. Das Haus ist alt, aber die Wohnung perfekt saniert und wunderschön gestaltet, in einer gelungenen Kombination aus alt und modern. Nimes eignet sich hervorragend als Ausgangspunkt für viele Ausflüge. Die Stadt ist lebhaft und angenehm, die Markthallen mit einem unüberschaubaren Angebot an kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten sind praktisch direkt gegenüber. Man kann vor dem Haus nicht parken, und auch sonst in der Altstadt nicht, wenn man kein Südfranzose ist ... Es lohnt sich, einen Parkplatz im Parkhaus (Les Halles) zu reservieren.

Une belle surprise pour nous en découvrant cet appartement. Très bien situé en centre ville juste à côté des halles pour faire son marchė chaque matin et de toutes les attractions touristiques (maison carrée, les arènes, la tour magne...). Un contact tout d'abord téléphonique avec le propriétaire puis son passage à l'appartement ont été appreciė. L'appartement en lui même est très bien équipé. Une bonne adresse !

Nach der 2.Mail an Martin bekamen wir dann die gewünschten Informationen betreffs unserer Ankunft.Die Wohnung liegt in einer etwas gewöhnungsbedürftigen Gasse und direkt vor der nicht sehr einladenden Haustür klafft ein notdürftig zugeschüttetes Loch.Nach Betreten des heruntergekommenen Hausflurs und Treppenhaus sinkt die Stimmung erheblich ,da an der blauen Tür kein Hinweis (Name des Appartements) existiert versucht man vorsichtig die Tür zu öffnen (sie klemmt) und ist beim Eintritt angenehm überrascht.Ein ,wohl erst kürzlich ,komplett renoviertes großzügiges Appartement,gut und funktionell eingerichtet.Schlafzimmer,Betten,Bad und Wohn-Essbereich alles sauber und gepflegt.Die Küche perfekt ausgestattet,sodass man seine kulinarischen Entdeckungen aus der nahegelegenen Markthalle problemlos zubereiten kann.Auf dem Esstisch lag eine sehr detaillierte Einweisung mit allen wichtigen und nützlichen Infos.Klimaanlage und Wifi funktionierten einwandfrei..Die Lage ist,abgesehen von der Gasse und den direkt umgebenden in der Sanierung befindlichen Häuser,optimal.Das Maison Carree fasst direkt um die Ecke ,die Markthalle ebenfalls.Nach dem ersten Eindruck waren wir mit unserem Aufenthalt und dem Appartement sehr zufrieden,würden uns aber vor erneuter Buchung nach evtl.Bauarbeiten informieren.
