A wonderful location, smooth check-in and very clean and well appointed property. It was quite easy to communicate with our host. One suggestion...several of the reviews mention on site parking which is not the case. Guests must find their own parking.

It's small but it is very clean and right in the middle of town. Worked out well for us.

We had stayed here 4 years ago and decided on it again because of its wonderful central location and secure parking. It really is a little oasis in the centre of the town. It is very small (which we knew) but nevertheless there is a large comfortable bed in the one small bedroom. However, nothing had been upgraded since our last visit and the fittings and fixtures, especially on the ground floor, are cheap (e.g. faded unlined curtains, flat pack type furniture) and the sofa is now way past its 'sell by date' and is small, saggy and uncomfortable and, and in our view, should urgently be replaced with something larger and more comfortable, especially as it's the only soft seating available. There is a television but only French channels available and in this day and age this is hardly acceptable. Also if you want to do anything other than the most basic of cooking you will be disappointed as there is only a small cheap microwave and a 2 (solid) ring electric hob and very limited cutlery, crockery and cookware. The cooking area - it can't really be classed as a kitchen as such - frustratingly with a bit of thought and outlay could, with some re-jigging, be able to accommodate a small oven and be much improved. Finally, be aware that there are numerous extras over and above the basic rental price including cleaning (extortionate for the size of the place), WiFi and bed linen (and there is no option to bring your own linen). We came away this time thinking it was a bit of a rip-off. We also had some problems with the electric gates which you need to be much nearer than you think to open.

This lodging is very small. The kitchen is so small that it is almost impossible to cook in it. It is also very dark and damp, with a constant, 24 hour, extractor fan in operation to keep the air circulating. The toilet is situated in the bedroom, again very narrow and there is insufficient space in the bathroom to be able to open the shower door without opening the bathroom door. Compulsory cleaning charge, compulsory hire of bed linen and towels and electricity charges added 100euros to the cost at the end of the stay. We were disappointed with this accommodation.

The location was brilliant, a few minutes walk from the town centre but lovely and quiet. The place is very small indeed with very steep stairs and the world's smallest loo. If you are from the UK, the TV is only French, and there is no oven.

Location was superb for Normany landings beaches and tapestry. Accommodation was accessed from the main street in Bayeux through an electric gate up a drive and was very quiet. The kitchen area was tiny with two electric rings and no oven so we were unable to take advantage of the fresh vegetables and seafood to be found in the local market. There was nowhere to prepare food other than the basics. There was an electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker, microwave and small dishwasher and fridge. There was a two seater settee (think it was a bed settee) which, although comfortable, was annoying because we had to keep pushing the seat cushions back every time we got up. The bedroom was small although the king size bed was very comfortable. The only problem was the bed drawers which had sharp wooden handles that we scraped our legs on until I managed to cover them by hanging towels over them. The shower was good with lots of hot water. Lots of good restaurants just a short walk away.

We were met by Caroline who was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is in a great location, up a drive off the main street in Bayeux and very quiet. We were disappointed with the kitchen area which was tiny. As we love cooking we were looking forward to buying fresh seafood and vegetables from the local market at ghe top of the street but there were only 2 electric rings and no oven. There was also nowhere to prepare food. There was however an electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. There was also a table-top dishwasher. The bedroom was small although the king size bed was very comfortable. One problem was that we kept scraping our legs on the bed drawer handles which were quite sharp but I remedied this by hanging towels to cover by tucking them under the mattress. The shower was good with lots of hot water. Good location for Normandy landing beaches and Bayeux tapestry.
