Lovely apartment in a beautiful little town with an amazing and kind host!

This apartment was the highlight of all the places that we stayed on our 4 week journey. It was clean, anything and everything that we could have needed was provided, and the host was absolutely amazing! She provided a lot of great suggestions on where to visit and things to see. She was friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect for sightseeing and we absolutely loved the small town. We plan to go back for several weeks because there just wasn't enough time to see everything.

We're not complaining because we were just happy that the home had one, but the washing machine takes a LONG time to do a load. Again, we were glad to have one, just don't wait until the last minute to try to do a load. Do it the night before you need it.

Great location

Host was extremely friendly and greeted us with homemade apple tartlets and a pot of coffee. She oriented us to the apartment. Decor was tasteful. Sleeping loft was comfortable. Location was good, city centre was within walking distance. Bakeries close by. Multiple restaurants nearby but many are closed Monday and Tuesday. Would recommend this apartment.

We would stay there again!

1. Cleanliness of the apartment was exceptional! 2. The clothes washing machine and clothes dryer were also very clean and worked well. 3. Refrigerator clean, right size for apt and worked well. 4. Sleeping loft was quiet and comfortable. 5. Microwave oven and cooktop worked well. Did not miss not having a regular oven.

No toilet on the bedroom floor, (loft).

Great location, fantastic host, happy to stay again!

When we telephoned Catherine to say we had arrived, she was there in 5 minutes even though she asked for 30 minutes notice - Thankyou! Lots of helpful advice about the area. Great to have a washing machine and drier. Wonderful apple tarts as a welcome and also some drinks in the fridge as well as a stock of coffee and tea

Fabulous accommodation, great location and wonderful host!!

The location was superb for sightseeing in Bayeux. The main high street was less than a 5 minute walk away, the Cathedral and Bayeux Tapestry Museum were a 15 minute walk and the Battle of Normandy and British Cemetery were approximately a 30 minute walk so there was a lot to see that was a within a short distance. The high street and side streets had lots of beautiful buildings to look at and there were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. On Saturday there is a lovely market on the fountain square that offers fresh produce and on Sunday there is a bric-a-brac market held there. The bus route was literally a 2 minute walk from La Citidine, which was ideal when we decided to visit Omaha and Gold Beach! Catherine our host was so lovely. She greeted us with a warm smile on arrival and she spent lots of time showing us around our accommodation and providing us with information of where places were that she thought we might want to see, try or use! She had baked us some delicious apple tarts and there was apple juice and bottled water in the fridge. The property was exceptionally clean everywhere and was decorated beautifully. The facilities within it were of a high standard, from the many towels provided, cosy bedding, plenty of hangers, laundry appliances (including liquid to wash our clothes) and toiletries to use. Catherine really has thought of everything to make a guests stay very comfortable and easy and even though her English wasn’t great, she tried very hard to communicate with us…she is a perfect host!

We were met by the host to go over everything even though our train arrived late in the evening! There were homemade muffins and a few other treats Very clean and comfy. Location was great. Thank you so much. Bayeux is lovely!

Lovely clean apartment in a great location, free street parking or paid parking in the market place across the street. Light and bright, nicely decorated and quiet. Very comfortable bed & furnishings. Washer & dryer. Catherine met us a the apartment with warm cake & coffee brewing. Great base for our trips to all the Normandy beaches & memorials nearby. Highly recommended.

The kindest hosts, a perfect visit!

Catherine and Pascal are perfect hosts, and have thought of so many beautiful details to make your stay lovely here. We felt welcomed right away - like special guests! The location is very convenient for walking around town, and it's on a nice quiet street. The upstairs bedroom is very cosy and has blackout shades for sleeping well. Don't forget to open the windows in the bedroom to look out over the street - it's very pretty! Washer and dryer were very convenient as we are full-time travelers. Such a lovely place, especially for visiting the Day beaches, American and British Cemeteries, and we did an overnight to Mont St Michel. The town of Bayeux is lovely, and the walk along the river is a must.

Loved LaCitadine and would return or recommend to others!

Great location and value! Catherine was an excellent host and went above and beyond to accommodate us! Washer/Dryer were great bonus as we were on day 14 when we arrived! Catherine even had a pot of coffee brewing and fresh muffins to greet us when we arrived!

We knew there were steps up to the bedroom but there are also steps up to the unit from the street. We managed, but for some it might be an issue.

Perfect location to get to the D-Day memorials.

The host arrived with fresh baked muffins and showed us the apartment. It had everything we needed - microwave, stovetop, coffee maker, washer and dryer. Spacious, bright and clean with an easy staircase to go up one floor.

The toilet is in a very small area, but it's nice it is separate from the shower area.

We had a lovely three days stay in Bayeaux and the apertment was ideal for our stay.

Central to the town was good, kitchen facility and bathroom good. Bedroom comfortable Good shower everything clean

Although the apartment was great having the bedroom and toilet on different floors was not ideal for people over 70 who do visit the toilet in the night.

Great location - 2 minute walk to the old town. Washing machine and drier were a bonus. Host welcoming with warm smile, home made apple cakes and freshly brewed coffee - much appreciated after a long journey. Bed very comfy. Fee paying car park less than minute walk but if you're lucky you can park for free in the street just outside the property

Exceptional

Very friendly host! Catherine met us upon arrival to give us keys and show us the apartment. She even had freshly baked muffins and some drinks stocked for us. The apartment was very comfortable and super clean. It is right in the center of town and easy to walk to restaurants and shopping. Having a washer and separate dryer was fantastic. The apartment is up a flight of stairs from street level and when you enter the main floor it has the living room/kitchenette, laundry and bathroom. The bedroom with two beds was then up another flight of stairs, so not really accessible for anyone with mobility issues. But it’s perfect for everyone else and we highly recommend staying here!

Very comfy appartement in Bayeux

Very nice welcome with brownies, fresh coffee and a quick tour of the house. All the equipement worked perfectly and the bed was very comfy! Supermarkets, restaurants and shops close by. Parking was possible in the street.

The appartement could have done with some extra kitchen storage space.

The Best

CLEAN, new, efficient. Good heat, GREAT washer and dryer -- two machines, not one. Big fridge. Easy street parking in front. Good comfy beds with quality linens. Good towels, good sized bathroom with shower. Spotlessly clean throughout. And Catherine the host is absolutely delightful. We wanted to take her home with us. She radiates warmth and kindness.

Tutto. La titolare dell'appartamento è squisita. Molto brava nell'accoglienza. Ci ha accolto con guide turistiche per spiegarci cosa andare a vedere e gli eventi di Bayeux, oltre che portarci dei dolcetti di mele fatti da lei. L'appartamento è tenuto con cura e molto pulito. Si dorme benissimo perchè la zona è tranquilla e molto comoda per raggiungere il centro città. Se torneremo a Bayeux, ritorneremo sicurmente in questo appartamento.

Un piacevole soggiorno a Bayeux

Appartamento pulito e comodo, con una bella mansarda come zona notte. Posizione centrale. Parcheggi gratuiti lungo la via. Catherine è una padrona di casa attenta e molto gentile. Bayeux è una stupenda cittadina, comoda per raggiungere diverse mete della Normandia e del confine della Bretagna.

Splendido alloggio, in pieno centro a Bayeux, con parcheggio non privato, ma facile da trovare nelle immediate vicinanze. L'appartamento è dotato di tutti i comfort e la proprietaria, Catherine, gentile ed attenta ai particolari. Ci ha fatto trovare sul tavolo una torta e del succo di mele ed acqua in frigo. Bayeux è molto bella e comoda per visitare la parte occidentale della Normandia. Esperienza molto positiva!

Sin duda alojarnos en La Citadine ha hecho q nuestro viaje a Normandía haya sido un 10. Catherine es muy amable y siempre disponible para cualquier duda o petición. Le agradecemos mucho su cálida bienvenida (riquísimos los pastelitos) El apartamento es muy cómodo, la lavadora y la secadora muy practicas. Está equipado con todo lo q se necesita para q la estancia sea muy cómoda. Las camas excelentes. Ducha estupenda y todo super limpio. Ubicación excelente, muy céntrico pero en una calle tranquila. Se puede aparcar fácilmente en la puerta de manera gratuita. bayuex es parada obligatoria y un enclave geográfico excelente para visitar toda la zona de desembarco y Moint Saint Michel. Volveremos!!!!😉

Apartamento muy acogedor, bien ubicado y muy bien atendido por sus dueños en todos los detalles

La ubicación muy buena, el apartamento muy cómodo y la limpieza increíble. Catherine y Pascal son muy cálidos y siempre atentos , nos fueron a buscar y llevar a la estación de trenes. Catherine nos espero con una deliciosa torta de manzana y un rico café . Además nos dejaron jugos, tes, y todo lo necesario para una cómoda estancia.
